New season is upon us. We've had a good pre season according to the results. I'm excited to see what we can do under Bijelica. Hopefully he sticks around for more than half a season.

We've cashed in quite alot from the sales of Sosa, Coric and Soudani.

Incoming players: Elmir Dilaver ( 27yo CB from Lech Poznan), Mislav Orsic (25yo LW from Ulsan Hyundai), Marin Leovac (26yo LB from PAOK), Damian Kadzior (26yo CM from Gornik Zabrze), Lovor Majer (20yo AM from Lokomotiva), Kevin Theophile-Catherine (28 yo CB from AS Saint-Etienne)

I believe we have the team to fight for a CL spot. However we should just focus on playing in any European competition after last years debacle.

First match in CL qualifying is Hapoel Be'er Sheva.

So we got our first win this season vs Istria 3-0. Gavranovic scored 2 and Leovac got one. Gavranovic's second goal was beautifully finished.

Dinamo (4-1-4-1): Zagorac - Moharrami, Dilaver, Perić, Leovac - Šunjić - Hajrović (od 64. Kadzior), Fiolić (od 58. Knežević), Olmo, Oršić - Gavranović (od 73. Menalo).

Wonder if Bijelica is going to stick to Budimir or go with Gavranovic for out European matches.

Ademi extends his contract for another 50 years. Good news, big fan of Ademi's

We have also signed Bruno Petkovic (FW). Played in Italy for the last few years. Quite the log jam in the attacking position right now.

Haha I purposely put 50 years. I think it was 5 years but it seems to me anyway that Ademi is going to be a life long Dinamovac.

When we hired Bjelica it was a first time in a while where I felt optimistic about our chances in Europe. He's a proven coach.

Lemme guess, another conspiracy? Maybe the man from Međugorje is still pulling strings?

I don't know, this season half the piitches are being renewed and half the league is from Zagreb anyway, is it really that much of a stretch? Lokosi play their home games in Rijeka. wtf.

I dont know if the comment was serious but HS stated in the HNL thread that it was done to help Dinamo in the CL qualification.

Watford's first 5 games consists of 4 home matches. :D

So Dinamo beat Lokomotiva over the weekend 1-0 with a completely changed lineup from what we use in the CL quals. Petkovic scored a penalty. We also beat Osijek 2-1 before our match vs Young Boys last week.

Maksimir looks sold out, the bojkotaši are not amused, their summer is going from bad to worse :D

Nobody is boycotting.
What?

There are plenty "boycotting" both the HNS and Dinamo still. In fact I heard today some idiots apparently planning to cause a stoppage in the second half and get them disqualified.

Would it surprise anyone if they tried?

I don't think it was only for their benefit in the CL but the HNS installed new pitches at every stadium and being incompetent as they are they weren't all completed before the start of the season. I think none of the teams can use Krannjceviceva yet so the "away" matches with Loko and Rudes were moved to Maksimir. Same thing happened with Istra, that was supposed to be played in Pula but they switched it to Maksimir. I don't think Dinamo will leave Zagreb for the first 8 rounds of the season

Also, Rudes played a home gave at Rujevica, they didn't even bother switching the dates. Rijeka will play Rudes at least 3 times at home, and this is supposed to be regular?

The timing and logic for selling Hodzic is just amazing. He is exactly what Dinamo needed tonight off the bench, yet he is now inexplicably in Budapest.

What's the point of netting €2.4m when you can pocket many times that just for getting to the UCL Group Stage? :wallbang:

So we beat Inter Zapresic 5-3. Interesting result. Leskovic, Budimir, Kadzior and Petkovic (2) were the goal scorers. Rijeka and Osijek both lost keeping us safely in first place for now.

Dinamo beat Istra 4-1. Petkovic, Gavranovic, Ademi and Budimir socred. All our strikers getting in on the action is nice to see.
