Zambrotta is easily the best, in fact he is the most underrated player i have seen for a long time, easily one of the best players in the world.

What do you think abt this Jern, Cole is good, but putting him in perspective out fo the Arsenal team and looking at him as an individual player, bayman has made an interesting observation.

Coming from a RM fan, A.Cole is the most complete of the 3.

 

'Complete' has another meaning when it's remembered that Zambrotta, apart from being full out amazing on left back regularly, is also superb on right back, or left or right midfield. As it suits the coach....

I don't know if the global serieA ratings dropped so much these last years, but holding Cole to Zambro's candle is just wrong. Two years ago I would have said Carlos like the vast majority I guess, but Zambrotta has simply been spectacular since being made a left back. At every level.... since that horrible Man.U match.

 

zambrotta at the moment, carlos is past his best and is a problem in a madrid team that lacks balance, cole is still young he has the potential to be better then zambotta but he isn't today.

 

Zambrotta is the best left-back in the world based on current form.Maldini has played only couple of games on that position since 2001/02, Roberto Carlos is out of form, Cole is certainly an underrated player, but he is not as good as Zambro in my opinion.

I don't think you can judge a footballer on breaking down their game into category's so to me it's meaningless.

anyway last year people were laughing when i said Cole was the best LB in the EPL, let them laugh some more because it will be who is laughing last. p

I don't really rate Zambrotta as highly as some do. He seems like a good player and does a lot of running here and there but he doesn't always get a lot done or seem to be able to beat his man consistently.

As for RB, Javier Zanetti is clearly superior to Zambrotta.
