Eliteserien vs Allsvenskan

In an interview with the swedish newspaper Expressen, Stabæk's swede Christian Wilhelmsson (21) says the Norwegian Eliteserie (aka Tippeligaen) is better than the Swedish Allsvenskan.
"The best Norwegian teams are better than the top teams in Sweden. In Norway they play a more physical football, and the play is faster. Stabæk would do very well in Allsvenskan" says Wilhelmsson.

The former Mjällby-player got 10 u-21 and 1 NT game for Sweden.

Well, what do you Swedes think about this? ;) I pretty much agree with him. Often heard swedes say Rosenborg is better, but the rest of the Norwegian teams would struggle in Allsvenskan.. Personally, I think teams like Viking, Brann and Stabæk (possibly also LSK and Odd G.) would beat the top Swedish teams most of the time..

Obviously, he's just saying that cause he plays there and wants to be cool :cool: :rolleyes:
I mean, hardly anyone in Sweden gives a sh*t about the norwegian league, so it's hard to know if it's good or not..
I think the two leagues are pretty evenly matched. Of course, Rosenborg would kick ass in allsvenskan, but the rest are rather equal I think.

Obviously that question is impossible to answer unless the teams actually play each other on a regular basis. There is no doubt that Rosenborg is better than any Swedish team, but I don't think the other Norwegian teams are better than the Swedish teams. I'd say they're quite evenly matched...

Of course, this season the "best" Swedish teams, such as Helsingborg, AIK, Halmstad och IFK Göteborg, haven't played very well, so maybe Norwegian teams are better right now...

As someone said, Rosenborg are the best scandi club. But that's it, I mean just take a look at Allsvenskan now, it's like 5 points difference between the 10 first teams, that's a very tight table! :dazed:
That means that most of the teams have somewhat the same standard :)
Elitserien perhaps have the best team, but I think all in all Allsvenskan is just a inch ahead :tongue:
