Thought we need a thread for are Young Brazilian
Gem Denilson!:proud: :star:

I've been impressed with this Boy ever since he first played and blended in with such ease and enthusiasm, Very classy player. He fits the Arsenal style of play so naturally. I thought he played well against citeh to. I can see a call-up from the Brazil squad soon!:hopeful:

Where do we see him playing longterm - DM or a CM? :smileani:

He's Cesc's and Gilberto's understudy. He's learning to pass like Cesc and he's also learning howe to defend like Gilberto. In two or three years I see him becoming a good passing Mascherano. Wenger described him as a mix between Gilberto and Rosicky.

He certainly looks quality and will get better and better the more he plays.

Nice thread

No idea of the caps, but he is the U19 Brazil captain.
He has been called up to the full senior side before. He replaced Gilberto for a friendly against Switzerland but didn't get to play.

I wonder how he'd do in a U-20 or U-21 tournament. Brasil has got many good players in the defensive mid position like Lucas Leiva and Renato and I wonder how Denilson stacks up against them. He didn't get called to the U-20 world cup and I'm wondering if it's because he's in consideration for the full squad or because Brasil wanted to showcase other youngsters there since Denilson is already playing in Europe.

Under Arsene's direction I don't doubt that he's going to be awesome.

I heard he has the invention but due to Cesc he doesn't get the chance to play in the so-called playmaker role.

I don't think Wenger bought him only because of his tackling and passing. Infact his passing wasn't at optimum level. His vision might be good but often he gave away passes against City too easily.

Hes alright. Not as great as people like to make out, sometimes you dont even know hes on the pitch.

Now Flamini on the other hand, christ hes rubbish on the wing but in the gilberto defence spot, i'd rather have Flamini over Denilson any day of the week and the same goes with Alex Song. Flamini hes started the season well, done just as good job Gilberto would have done. He gets stick as Wenger sticks him out wide when got lack of players and hes useless at that. In the middle defence kinda role, box to box, hes turning into a very good player.

maybe thats telling us that we need a damn winger! flamini is more of a DMF than anything else, he is versatile but sticking him on the wing is pretty much useless.

denilson can play CM but i think he has at least 2 years ahead of him before he can start.
