It seems that hernan crespo is'nt a real favourite at the bridge despite scoring some valuable goals it appears that the talented Argentine's days at the bridge don't seem a long destined story.when you look at it of course as a Milan fan I would've loved to of seemed him still be at Milan, but is he really happy at Chelsea?

His future is uncertain to the extent that he doesn't seem to be as comfortable on the pitch as he is in Italy, much like his last sting at Chelsea. He keeps appearing on the pitch 40-50 yards away from goal, which is a complete waste of his penalty box ability. He is a MUCH better penalty box striker than Drogba will ever be, but he doesn't offer as much outside the box. I just don't think he likes playing in Chelsea's team, where he is expected to work outside the box, rather than simply hovering in the box at all times waiting for crosses.

I m not so sure about Crouch, but what makes you think benitez can operate Crespo better than Morientes. Morientes, to me, is very underrated.

Crespo.. wanted to settle down in a Team. ACM, somehow got hold of FREE (better than CHEAP) Vieri. They had tried negotiating with CFC for amost nothing price for Crespo and wanted Chelsea to pay 8m  for that kaladze!

In Crespo's position, what would you do. Go to the club, the top club who wants you the most. Mourinho's pulling power is there. While Crespo accepted Rotation and competition. It applys to the wingers, Gudjohnsen, Ferreira, Gallas, Carvalho... and of course, Cudicini. Crespo may be in that category.

Why would he want to venture out again? Its not like he is anyway younger.

crespo actualy doesnt mind london, he said that his second stint is much better and that he's enjoying himself. he's more settled and mourinho takes better care of him than ranieri, plus he doesnt mind playing second fiddle, he said it'll help argentina's WC chances.

so he's happy to sit on his arse and take the money then ? seems reasonable to me

Crespo is world class IMO.

But i doubt he is really happy at chelsea. I don't think that he would air his frustrations in public like Carvalho did. Crespo is too professional for that. He'll just keep saying that things are ok.

But if he did stay at Milan, he would have to compete with Vieri, Pippo Inzaghi and the prodigy that is Gilardino (the Guillotino!). Sheva already has that number one place sewn up.

Crespo has less competition at CHelsea, he saw that kezman and Mutu left and realised that he could probably take Drogba. It might not have been a money thing. Yes, he'd be better in Italy, but where would he play? There's more rotation than a merry-go-round at Inter, and Juve already have Mutu, DP, Trez, Zalayeta, Ibrahimovic. I doubt he would want to go from a team playing the CL final to UEFA cup.

you never know with some players Jerno  Look he signed a five year deal and surely with what Chelsea was throwing at him the dollar signs lit up.I was devastated to lose him back to Chelsea but some things make you wonder.

Good point I remember laughing by myself in a cafe in
Firenze when I read that on Gazzetta dello sport, that
Crepso was worth $0 while Kaladze was $8 million :howler:

Roman might overspend but he is not stupid, you dont
make $15 billion if you are an idiot

Mourinho really plays the players necassery for each game
and I think Crespo will feature more in the latter stages
of the CL where he is lethal.

Plus remember Gudjohnsson who was such a good player
last season, now he hardly features. Its a team effort
and player must wait their turn like Joe Cole did ;)

Yeah true they have Jern :smileani: Veron and Chelsea were always going to be risky signings.Forone they're both South Americans and I will stand by it that South American's don't normally settle well in England, next especially for Veron he only really left Italy due to the passport fiasco.

HERNAN CRESPO'S Chelsea future is hanging by a thread after he refused to travel to Spain.

Crespo missed Tuesday's game against Real Betis with Chelsea announcing he was injured.

But we can reveal that was a smokescreen. Crespo has been given a final warning over the incident and a Chelsea insider revealed: "The boss gives everyone just one chance and Crespo's had his. It has certainly not gone down well with the rest of the lads in the team — they can't believe his attitude."

Bizarrely, the Argentine striker admitted he doesn't want to play regularly for the Blues in case it burns him out before next summer's World Cup finals.

Crespo declared: "It's good not to play a lot of matches in World Cup year. If I had to play every game for Chelsea I wouldn't be available for the national team in top physical shape which is important to me."

Disgrace

Crespo-who spent last season on loan at AC Milan-has been sitting on the Chelsea bench most of this season.

And the Blues insider added: "It seems that Crespo found out he wasn't going to be playing against Betis and would just be on the bench again.

"So he said he didn't want to travel. That was not received very well at all but he was left behind, all be it in disgrace."

reckon Crespo might be loaned out in Jan, possibly to Wigan ?
