Well Jack is out for the season, out of this game definitely.

Sagna and Podolski rumoured to be out too.

Our chance is very slim. Last season I still had few hunch of miracle which we ended up winning 3-0. But Bayern is different material. They always take it seriously. I absolutely have no idea how we can pull this one. Our best playmaker is out and no fighters in our team.

I would have had a slither of hope if Wilshere was involved but the injury news is this:

Arsène Wenger has made four changes to his squad for Wednesday night's clash against Bayern Munich.

Lukasz Fabianski, Abou Diaby, Andrey Arshavin and Kieran Gibbs have all been included in the 18-man group for the Champions League last-16 second leg at Allianz Arena.
Jack Wilshere and Lukas Podolski (both ankle) have been left out, while Wojciech Szczesny has been rested. Meanwhile, Nacho Monreal is ineligible for the match, having represented Malaga in the group stages of the competition.

What a joke of squad depth. Wilshere out and Diaby comes in, Szczesny out and we get Fabianski, Podolski out? Arshavin... Our squad depth is made up of players we're trying to get rid of but no-one wants!

I personally would go for:

Fabianski

Sagna Mertesacker Vermaelen Gibbs

Rosicky Arteta

Walcott Cazorla Chamberlain

Giroud

Chamberlain and Rosicky simply have to start this game. They were crucial in our 3-0 Milan win. Both add much needed pace in the team, good shots from distance, and great crossing ability for Giroud.

Wilshere is more important to this Arsenal side than Cazorla is and I'm not one to over rate players either.

There is far too much fuss over Lil' Jack but he honestly is more important to the Arsenal side than Cazorla. Wilshere gives a drive from midfield consistently is much more of a fulcrum player sees so much of the ball in comparison to Cazorla. Cazorla can come to life in advanced areas but he isn't more important to the side than Wilshere.

So I think Albs is spot on here. Wenger is putting Wilshere in cotton wool for the run in and his "injury" will disappear after England have played their international games coming up.

Of course Swansea is a far more important game now than this one.

Doesn't matter what Jack wants, Wenger wants him to be fresh for the run in.

If Wenger wants him out of the internationals though it means he won't be available for the Swansea match most probably and that Swansea away game could be tricky.

Who knows Bayern might ease off a bit knowing they are virtually through and Arsenal may play better with no real pressure on them meaning no embarrassment.

Maybe. Not so sure about the first comment though. Bayern always seem to be professional and play honestly in every game they are in. The German mentality at play.

Not even the most ardent anti wengerites can blame him fully for Shezza. Had all the talent in the world and all he cared about was talking rubbish on twitter and proving he's an "Arsenal Lad" by talking about spurs. In games he does these silly show Off moves. Wenger or no manager can babysit someone 24/7. Wenger has taken bold move in dropping him. I used to stand up for Shezza but he is an immature lazy idiot at the moment.
