Who knows Bayern might ease off a bit knowing they are virtually through and Arsenal may play better with no real pressure on them meaning no embarrassment.

Maybe. Not so sure about the first comment though. Bayern always seem to be professional and play honestly in every game they are in. The German mentality at play.

No Chesney tomorrow, he's according to Wenger, mentally crushed by the amount of games he's had to play this season. :howler:
Mentally crushed more like because of his poor form rather than the amount of games he has played.

Not even the most ardent anti wengerites can blame him fully for Shezza. Had all the talent in the world and all he cared about was talking rubbish on twitter and proving he's an "Arsenal Lad" by talking about spurs. In games he does these silly show Off moves. Wenger or no manager can babysit someone 24/7. Wenger has taken bold move in dropping him. I used to stand up for Shezza but he is an immature lazy idiot at the moment.

Keep Chesney as far away from team as possible. My heart can't take anymore Cruyff turns and CR7 cutbacks when he's under pressure on the ball.

Also need a keeper who'll not loiter by the corner flag for no reason. He's Rustu's rightful heir.

Don't know why we didn't go in for him when he left Pompey. What's the deal with Begovic anyway, surely Pulis wouldn't sell to us or want to sell him just to accommodate a fairly OKAY, but not as good as Begovic, Jack Butland?

Wenger will never in a million years outwit Bayern. We literally have no chance. He doesn't have the tactical knowledge or balls to try something completely new.

I'd go with:

Fabianksi

Koscielny - Mertesacker - Vermaelen

Chamberlain --- Arteta --- Rosicky --- Gervinho

Walcott -------------Cazorla

Giroud

---------------------------------

Ideally I'd have Gibbs instead of Gervinho but how fit is Gibbs? He's been out for a while. Gervinho is useless as a finisher but his energy and work-rate would suit this 3-4-3 formation really well on the left-hand side. Cazorla essentially a free role. Of course Wenger will stick to his pathetic formation and tactics, and we'll be predictable, out of ideas and impotent.

Why does the club have to insult the fans by saying Szczesny is rested on our official website? That's one thing that really pisses me off about this regime - just plain lying to the fans. You don't rest your no.1 keeper in a big game. He's dropped, so why lie? When Real Madrid drop players they describe it on their official website as "technical decision". Why can't we do that instead of blatantly lying to the fans. *****.

There's going for it and there is footballing suicide :howler: That team you have picked would fall into the latter category. A back three :D This team has problems defending with a four let alone three. I understand that you want the team to go for it but come on that line-up would be put to the sword and we don't want to see a massacre and the team totally embarrassed.

It's not even that, it's the fact that the towels been thrown in because the manager clearly doesn't believe in the teams chances. Sends a horrendous message to a team of players, but it's not like Chesney hasn't deserved being dropped either.

Wouldn't be surprised if a Cazorla or Arteta gets a 'rest' before the start of tomorrow.

The manager as well as the players know the game is up on this tie anyway.

They will just hope not to get embarrassed.

Wenger will want this game out of the way fast and then tell his players that the remaining EPL games are their cup finals ;)

Tie is indeed 99.9% over.

I think valdes is very underrated. Always been top shot stopper when Iv seem barca play. Begovic is not really better?

Begovic is a very good goalkeeper.

Good shot stopper, and unlike Woj commands his six yard box too.

Valdes has always looked shaky on aerial stuff and he would be going from a league that doesn't bombard the penalty area so much with high balls to a league that does in comparison.

Begovic has years of EPL experience and copes well with all the EPL stuff that comes along. Shot stopping and being commanding with the high ball stuff.

Begovic over Valdes is a no brainer on the playing front.

But of course Valdes would be the cheaper option financially.

mmm wonder what the board and manager will go for.

Not seen begovic play much. Only watch stoke when we play them or they play our rivals sometimes can be a reason to put up with watching that rugby team :D I will have to take your word on Begovic then Maturin but valdes would be upgrade on chez atm and a very high profile transfer. In 20-30 years valdes will be treated very well by history I'm sure. The GK of perhaps best team of all time.

A 10 million bid would see Stoke sit up and take notice I would think.

But we know it's not going to happen.

The club will either stick with Woj or get in Valdes.

And how was Valdes rated? His shot stopping. Just like Woj was rated at the beginning.

At least Valdes will give the team more experience and maturity but he isn't going to give the team that reassurance from corners or setpieces that have been such a weakness.

The Arsenal goalkeeping saga will go on indefinitely.

You're only bigging him up Chris because you know how this club works and thinks and that Valdes going to Arsenal is a big possibility ;). Much more than Begovic being signed.
