We may as well get our players more used to the 4-5-1 we will now likely use in game 1 of the CL.

Can we get the thread title fixed up please?

We should win, and what is the deal with Eduardo? He's been named on the bench for the past few games, is he even fit?

And Tunis, we should avoid playing Silvestre at ALL costs.

Wenger wouldn't name an unfit player, I don't think most coaches would, given Bendtner's shocking touch and finishing, I fail to see a fit Eduardo not having at least a run.

So why name him if he's unfit?

Well would you leave a perfectly fit Eduardo on the bench for the past three games?

I usually don't like to complain , but why the hell do we play on sunday , in this season whenever a team have a CL game coming next week , it doesnt matter it's on tuesday or wednesday , they were scheduled to play on saturday , that always happened except for two times , one with liverpool against man city on sunday, but that was due to citys participating in UEFA cup on thursday , the other time was with arsenal against burnley in the FA cup and that was before playing against roma away on wednesday , now it's the third time , and i don't know the reason .

I hope wenger will rest as many key players as possible .

No doubt a bit of a conundrum for AW.

Bolton 1-1 Villa

Everton 1-2 Man City

West Ham 0-1 Chelsea

It's safe to say Villa and Everton CL dreams are over. Now, Arsenal needs only 2 wins from 5 matches to guarantee CL qualification, but with the way Villa are playing and Everton thinking of Wembley one can't help but feel the Arsenal can even afford to lose the last 5 PL games (not that we'd be gunning for anything less than 5 wins!).

Question is does AW still want to go all out for third or will he settle for 4TH? Odds are AW will go for the victory and start the likes of Cesc tomorrow but send our reserves against Pompey so we can be well rested for Man Utd at the Emirates.

Manuel Almunia
Emmanuel Eboue
Kolo Toure
Mikael Silvestre
Kieran Gibbs
Theo Walcott
Cesc Fabregas (c)
Denilson
Samir Nasri
Andrey Arshavin
Nicklas Bendtner

Damn Denilson again in the line-up. And Eduardo is not even in the subs.

At least a few have been rested I suppose.

Although Potato Head is starting :(

why on earth aren't we playing song? he's been absolutely excellent for us and wenger is killing his form by not playing him and playing denilson instead. what a joke. i'm still not convinced with playing bendtner up front alone, its quite scary tbh.

we need to win this game, we havent won against boro for ages. not since highbury days when we used to take them to the cleaners. 3-1 i'm predicting

I think Song is being rested Xinz.

#27 ·
Oh dear. Cesc seems to be hurt.

#28 ·
And he's back on the pitch :)

Bendtner, Cesc, Arshavin, Cesc, back of the net, 1-0.

Arshavin 12 assists in 9 EPL starts.
