With all people on here likely tuning into SkySports every other day to watch the Premiership what is your honest opinion of Andy Gray, Jamie Redknapp and Richard Keys?

Personally I hate most who are present on SkySports with the exception of the guys who present Soccer Saturday.

Andy Gray and Jamie Redknapp are PR machines who just talk the talk about the games and have no impartial opinions on any team or player.

Grays show (The final word) is for his benefit and no one elses. He breaks down moves and goals so much that you become bored of his patter. He does it for his own ego to try and get him to come across as a tactical genius yet I think he is so far from it. If he was he would have taken the Everton job many years ago.

Jamie Redknapp is a pr*ck, excellent player thats undisputed but his pundit skills are laughable. Most pundits on any football programme will crititise when required but Jamie just yaps away about how good this is, how good that is, and basically just and attention seeker who makes absolutely no sense to me.

Welcome to the Premiership media :yuck:

I think Gray wants to be English, he never mentions the fact he's Scottish throughout the entire until Scotland are playing then suddenly its 'we'.

I really dont rate him one bit as a pundit, if he was to cut down his analysis' of football matches a little more and just stick to the stuff the fans want to see then he may go up a notch or two in my book.

I honestly see myself yawning when he is on the final word breaking down goals into 17 different moves. It serves no purpose other than to get him talked about.

Soccer Saturday is the worst of the lot.

a cringeworthy display of dull 'opinions' and back-slapping carried out by a few paying members of the old boys club.

I honestly don't care about them. They're idiots, always ill-informed about City and most other clubs. The only ones they're experts on are the big 4, who are always on, and they spend their time slobbering over Wayne Rooney.

Jamie Redknapp isn't impartial about his family, he moaned about Cesc having a go at his Dad the other week, and when it was suggested Beckham come back to the England NT he almost whacked Hoddle, as his cousin Frankie may be dropped. :D
Indeed, ****ing inbred Redknapp/Lampard family. Its no coincidence how badly 'Arry slated Barton only weeks after Barton criticisied Fwank

Redknapp is an absoultely shocking pundit... he rmables on and on about useless crap and then fro example when talking about the Lille-MU game... Hoddle and Gullit rightly said that from now on the referee should always blow his whistle when the ball is that near to the goal for an FK or you let a player stand over the ball so a free-kick isnt taken quickly and the GK can line up his wall

Then Jamie started rambling on nonsensically about how the advantage has to be with the attacker bla bla bla, but its aload of crap what hes saying... he eventually said a GK doesnt need to be on that post to line up his wall

What an arse whipe... is he a GK? how would he know... I play Gk sometimes and I know for sure that at an FK you need to line-up the wall using the other post.

Anyway that was just one example... Redknapp doesnt really know what hes talking about most of the time, he just says stuff which was feeded to him by Andy Gray

I dont mind Andy Gray so much, but it does annoy me when he always says... 'this is why this is the best league in the world' - such crap at self-promoting... Gerry Armstrong is similar when it comes to Spanish football aswell... at least when I use to watch Serie A all them years ago I didnt hear James Richardson on every Gazzetta say how wonderful the league is bla bla bla

Also Andy Gray annoys me because as said above, he is Scottish and supports England... which I never agree with :)

Some good points there Dean.

From start to finish its all PR work and their sole purpose on that programme is talk up the Premiership, not that it isnt worth talking about but as pundits they should give an impartial view on teams, players and managers.

Jamie Redknapp cant say a bad word about anybody but unfortunately he isnt on a programme that can make him friends, he is a pundit and should act like one.

Gullit isnt so good either but at least he does have a tad of impartiality about him.

Gullit also talks some sense... Wilkins IMO is the best of the lot. Love that guy.

Anyway its true Redknapp doesnt say a bad word, espeically about those English who he has played with... if its a foreign team then he cant wait for a dig... cue Materazzi... who even if he plays the most amazing match ever yet does 1 bad pass. Redknapp will criticise it afterwards.

Also they are so stereotypical... Italian teams for example, this season they arent the best at defendign and all of a sudden its like wow whats happened here... the problem is for at least 10 years now Italian teams havent been defensive, they have been balanced and now this year in Inter and Roma's case they are quite attacking :) If anything English teams are now the kings of defending like maniacs only to score the odd goal to see them through.

Andy Gray trying to say Benitez isnt a good coach or something :D

Benitez realises that in a midfield with just 2 players you need 1 to be a top class passer and the other to be a top class defensive midfielder...

Gerrard is neither... he has them in his locker, but essentially Gerrard is a goalscoring midfielder which means he can only play behind the striker or on the right... Gerrard can play CM especially next to Alonso but I think Benitez wants more solidity in the middle... The only other way Gerrard can play CM is if you play a Chelsea style formation. or a 3 man midfield.

Andy Gray is the most bitter man around, i absolutely hate having to listen to him when we are playing. :yuck:

Jamie Redknapp takes the bicuit, i think he wants to be the next mark lawrenson. horrible analysi, no knowledge of the game and constantly interrupting.

Paul Merson- i'll speak about if we hopefully beat Barca :hopefull:

most of them are terrible and its amazing how so many of these are pundits on television, im sure a lot of people on XT could give analysis a lot better than those lot.

totally agree and finally somebosy in england realises this. Gerrard is not a two way CM, he lacks the discipline and if you have loads of possession you need to build the gam and for that you needa player who has good discipline, with Gerrard his game is all about intensity and therefore playing as a central midfielder is not suitable.

Funny how all these sky sports pundits can hammer Rafa for tis, yet statistically Gerrard's best season came under Rafa playing as a right sided midfielder allowed to drift freely.

charlie nicholas is the worst

Well... better than the local one who during the game against Sheffield was saying that if Barca will win 1-0 at Anfield, they would go through and if they win 3-2, Liverpool will go through... and it could have been just a little mistake by him if he wouldn't repeat it a few times during the game... :D

jobs for the boys?

- could you serve up your trite, rambling, top-4 centric opinions for 5 hours every saturday?

- could you display a complete lack of knowledge on any club that plays outside the premiership?

- could you cover for your old mates no matter how rubbish they are doing as managers?

- could you attempt to conduct a conversation with Paul Merson?

Gillette Soccer Saturday.

BE THE WORST
