I don't think we'll have a more difficult match all season. City have an incredible squad, better than current CL holders Real Madrid imo. Having said that, we gave them a game in the CL final and they suffered to win it. This game is tougher though as it's in their home stadium.

Dimarco out so are Arnautovic and Buchanan. Correa not in the CL list.

Man City vs Inter: Probable line-ups
Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Calhanoglu, Zielinski; Taremi, Thuram.

Man City (4-2-3-1): Ederson; Walker, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol; Rodri, Gündogan; Bernardo, De Bruyne, Grealish; Haaland.

FI thinks we'll start with 10 players 😀 they forgot Augusto in that lineup.

Lautaro might be rested for the derby. He is yet to score this season..

The main reasons Inter lost to Atletico last season were missing chances and lapses in concentration in defence, those have to be avoided tonight. Our defence will be under a lot of pressure as it is, can't afford giving away cheap goals. I doubt we'll create a lot so we have to take our chance when it comes. Our first half wastfulness in Monza cost us.

City are the favourites to win and a loss tonight doesn't compromise Inter's European season as we still have 7 more games afterwards, but let's give it a go.

We won on our last visit to an English stadium, 0-1 at Anfield in 21-22. We also won away at Highbury in 03-04 and at Stamford Bridge in 09-10.

Forza Inter.

Lautaro not starting means we will create absolutely nothing

Thuram-Taremi looks an absolute non-event

In fact, Lautaro is one of the very few players Thuram seems to combine well with

And If we are not attacking, we will be defending constantly against the best forward line on the planet.

So - to be quite honest - I expect us to get pumped this evening.

Toro isn't 100% as he had no preseason. Taremi does have a good cl goal scoring record for Porto.

I am more worried about darmian starting 3 games in a week.

Of course we will mostly defend regardless if Lautaro starts or not. Even Real Madrid defended last time they visited there. Though naturally keeping this City scoreless especially in their stadium is near impossible, so some balance is needed and we will attack occasionally too, hoping to exploit some spaces. As for Thuram, none of his goals this season were due to linking up with Lautaro. Players like Barella, Frattesi and Mkhi all assisted him. Taremi hasn't done an awful lot though admittedly.

City have a good academy no?

My understanding was they have the best academy in England but I could be wrong

Zielinksi, Taremi and Bisseck all start

This will not be pretty

You found a way to watch this, red?

took my kid to swimming practise today and he is watching cartoons now til he sleeps, but I will be watching on a different tv anyhow.

Zielinski's 1st start. Bisseck back after gifting Genoa a point, not that I don't trust him but not away to City... may be Pavard is sitting this out because Bisseck is physically stronger and it's a game away to an English team, and also Pavard didn't defend great in the air v Mota the other night.

Will watch on my phone on the DAZN app. Did find a bar showing it but would rather avoid a bunch of drunk English and Germans

Extremely attacking team though I guess KDB will drop next to Rodri

Quick look at a couple of our future CL opponents

Young Boys got destroyed at home by Villa last night. So we should hopefully be able to get those 3 points from Switzerland later in October

Sparta Prague demolishing Salzburg, looks like the game in Prague could be tricky.

Red Star in Milano on October 1st is 100% must win.
