I know this tournament has been discussed a bit in the general youth NT thread but since the tournament starts in about a week, it would be better to put the stuff here. For Croatia the tournament starts on the 18th against Morocco but they play a friendly against Brazil in the UAE on the 12th.

Gudelj, who will lead the team for this tournament, named this squad

Goalkeepers: Marko Maric (Rapid Vienna), Ivo Grbic (Hajduk Split), Dario Miskic (Dinamo Zagreb)

Defenders: Marko Stolnik (Dinamo Zagreb), Duje Caleta-Car (Pasching), Franjo Prce (Hajduk Split), Petar Mamic (Dinamo Zagreb), Petar Bockaj (Dinamo Zagreb), Hrvoje Dzijan (Dinamo Zagreb), Lukas Culjak (Borussia Dortmund)

Midfielders: Alen Halilovic (Dinamo Zagreb), Karlo Lulic (Osijek), Ante Roguljic (Red Bull Salzburg), Ivan Fiolic (Dinamo Zagreb), Ivan Sunjic (Dinamo Zagreb), Bojan Knezevic (Dinamo Zagreb)

Forwards: Fran Brodic (Dinamo Zagreb), Frane Vojkovic (Hajduk Split), Elvir Maloku (Hajduk Split), Robert Muric (Dinamo Zagreb), Ante Blazevic (Hajduk Split)

The Morocco match will be on Eurosport, not sure if ESPN3 will broadcast this as the USA didn't qualify.

My expectations for this team is very high. No reason why they should not at least make it to the quarters. All of there players are there except Basic. This is probably the strongest generation Croatia has ever produced with Lulic Halilovic Muric Brodic Roguljic.

ah crap, I'll be working and I don't have eurosport...ffs.

Need to secretly stream it on the side :err:

that looks like some African or Albanian team. Blaevi, Brodi, Fioli, Kneevi, Aleta-Car :D

And when is this going to stop? Croatian clubs and even national teams have no business to underestimate anybody. It's all down to our pathetic coaching and training regimes. And the players buy into the hype way too easily, what has Halilovic done to warrant this hype?

The HNS Coaching Academy sure puts out some winners...

In this format all they need is one win, but at the moment their GD is taking a hit :pp

Is Gudelj still coaching this team? Another guy who's been in charge of a youth team about 10 years too much, the guy brags about friendly results yet when it comes to these official tournaments :lala:
