Henry vs. Ronaldo, Zidane vs. RG. Kaka vs watever they have.
This time we can not afford to start the game with the slow and bad defense of today. Focus because the french team does not have all this intensity and sometimes they slow down as much as us.
I hope Robinho is back and it is time to RG to wake up.

All depends of Parreira. He should use it. But he will probally play some Quincey Jones music instead

France are favourites to win this one.

They will dominate the midfield, are too organized at the back and finally look like a team.

Even good old Zidane looks better than the shadow of Ronaldinho and Viera better than Emerson.

woww , i'm already getting anxious and nervous for the Brazil - France game. I mean we have to revenge the 1986 and 1998 World Cups so it's a must win game , it's about pride. But the defense really worried me today and the possibility of lossing against France is a nightmare that may come true. Hope all the team will be ready for this historical game coz it's time for redemption !

Yes but he is a system player and the system obviously doesn't work. He is the connection between defence and attack, none of them are working fine, only Ze tries to make out the best of this.

I have already been thinking about this match for some days, because it was clear to me that France would qualify and then knock this very average overrated sub-23 spanish team down. No team wins the world cup in advance, and the spanish were already saying the french were decadent, dead, and that they were the future of football and the best team in the competition. Their attitude was totally wrong, and I knew they would lose.

It will be a very hard match for us, because a team with Zidane, Ribéry, Henry and Vieira can kill you at any time, to a degree that Ghana, with all its skilful midfield play can't. It's a great team that is still trying to get in tune, and beating us would be the perfect scenario. Henry for instance is a great player that still hasn't said his last word, like Ronaldinho. I think we must change to win, we must field a more conscious, faster midfield, and I honestly think we would do much better with the younger wings, we would generate more offensivity. I also think after Adriano's catastrophic performance today, it's time to give him the condition of bench option and let Robinho in, with Ronaldo, the fat man who shutted my mouth and I'm glad about that.

Good luck for us!

What Garrincha said, if we play like we did today and with the same team only Ronaldo can save us. But I have a feeling we might be in for a good surprise, with Gilberto starting (Emerson injured) and with either Robinho or Juninho in Adriano´s place.

If that happens considering France is more a cautios team, slower and how motivated our players will be I say we have great chances! We need to be carefull not to give as much space as we did to Ghana, but I think it will be easier as France will not attack in numbers and Gilberto will be there.

We need to makes France run, tire them out and take our chances. And Gaucho needs to play his game, there is no more excuses of being missplayed, you cannot make as many mistakes as he has been making (although he gave a great pass for RC to miss the goal) because it will break our play and give France a chance to use Henry´s speed.

Lets do it!

stop calling him fat :pp he is very sensitive and can be offended :D Good luck to us and hopefully with the right team we will kick them ****ers off to france.

Agree that Vieira, Zidane and Henry can be very dangerous, but I´m glad they are more tactical than Ghana and will not attack as bold as them. I think we can outrun the french team which is good.

The truth is that since the day one we are playing against History. And now History is before us. France and Zidane.

I think their key player is Ribery. He's the man who pumps the team morale, who asks for the ball all the time, who goes forward and leaves one, two, three opponents behind, gains 20 meters of field and then releases a clean pass. Zidane is the genius, he has to be very heavily marked, but Ribery is the soul of this new France. And I'm afraid Emerson may be too slow for the task. He was too slow for the ghanese.

It will be a very different match from the one of today. Spain runned a lot, marked with pressure in their attacking field, things that the aging Brazil of Parreira's mind can't do. But when they had the ball, they circulated it like they did against Ukraine and sometimes Tunisia, only that this time without much "decision power", because it was a "mata-mata" match against a serious team, they didn't get many gifts. Against Brazil, France will be challenged by a team with more "decision", but without the pressure put by Spain. Anyway, we must not let them think with the ball in their feet like we did today with Ghana.

Hello everybody
Very happy to see a new game between Brazil and French :)
Jorge Ben has right , Ribéry will be determining in this game , if you are see the game today you are understand he is not bad with a ballon in the foot :D
But the principal is for me , nobody knows him , ok Juninho and cris and Fred had played against him but a Emerson or Cafu for example cant to understand his game and it's will be very hard for them at my point of view
Nevertheless Brazil stays Brazil and Ronaldo too and your forward is ... crazy I think French will take a goal or more , but can score too.
In fact when I ve seen your team I ve understood by Brazil there are forward and defence , not midfilder it's a real defaut and Cafu is too old I think
I hope a great game and I hope the better will win :)

He scores against Japan and Ghana and he is our savior again.

Sure, Ronaldinho, Kaká can't save us, only Ronaldo!

What a load of BS!

Ronaldo scored one goal and had a good game, alright, but stop making him the best player in the world because he is not.

We'll need Ronaldinho playing at his best, Kaká too. If we rely solely on Ronaldo, even if he plays well, we are ****ed.

France has the best defensive system of the World Cup, very solid. I still think Brazil are the favourites, but this is going to be the hardest game we'll have.

And please, for the sake of Brazilian football and also for Adriano, bench the guy! He is not a support striker, dammit!

Easily the most anticipated game in the WC for me...even better than the Argie/German one...

This should be Ronaldinho's coming out party...this team is still 'Ronaldo's team' & I could not help but wonder if the unselfishness we say today by RC,Adriano and Cafu was a 'we are tired of fatty getting all the glory' afterall he hasn't trained scores two goals and suddenly he is a hero, why cant I have my 15 minutes...

I don't know what it is but other than the Japan game this Brazil has looked very Greek-like in its bottomline and very England-like in its makeup...maybe its an allergic reaction due to the change in style after 24 years of futility,I cant help but think psychologically Brasil is ready to surrender this style...having France as an opponent is a perfect excuse...

History is on Frances side and more importantly the French style of play just doesn't suit Brazil...France has a couple of DM's who can neutralize Kaka, who while brilliant on his day can be as anynomous the next thanks to a decent DM,this will leave Ronaldinho the only creative force if the current selection prevails(Juninho/Robinho?!?) not a good prospect...

Have Brazil faced a strike force in this WC? Lucio has not commited a foul...that smells more of not being tested than brilliance personified...he has some Matterazzi in him & that brings me to Henry, how ironic would it be if France progresses as he scores & Ronaldo is on the losing side...that would exorcise all his demons...like one night in the San Siro when he met Matterrazi...it could be Lucios turn...he might be critized for his lucklustre play at decisive times (& rightfully so) but he seems destined for a fack y'all moment...

On a personal note Brazil/France 86 was when I officially became a fan...I supported Brazil then and we know what happened this time I'm almost ambivalent...

Let the best team win....

P.S. Seeing Juan beg the ref to give Gyan a second Yellow/Red and after the ref obliges he consoles Gyan like he was kin broke my heart...Oh Brasil,Oh Brasil why have you foresaken thou...

I may agree about Roberto Carlos, even if I don't think his problem is being selfish. But Cafu and Adriano? They almost never tried individual plays. The problem with Adriano is that he looked nervous and he never was a great passer, so playing so deep he ended up doing a lot of mistakes. Cafu had a great game, if the word balance still exist in this team, it's due to Cafu. He's doing great in defense and also gave a great assist. I don't know why people put him in the same bag as Carlos. Maybe because they only see the side-back when he goes forward, and Cicinho is better doing this (faster and more creative).

Agree about Lucio though, I have the feeling the guy is a time bomb.
