Cassano pretty much scores and/or assists every game he plays for Inter, even coming from the bench. Just like he was doing for us. Crucial goal against Fiorentina today.

Swapping Cassano + money for Pazzini has to be the most ridiculous piece of business I've ever seen Milan do.

we can no longer be proud of acquiring seedorf and pirlo for peanuts. this cassano transaction tainted that achievement.

and oh crap, just realized I still have the cassano avatar.
Are you crazy! Nothing can top Seedorf-Cocco swap, nothing!! Yes, Cassano's deal hurts, but come on!!!

See the previous post. Pirlo was NOT swapped for Guly, don't know what the people at goal.com have been smoking. We actually paid a large amount to get Pirlo.
Thanks for the correction.

Cannavaro X Carini still beats Seedorf X Coco, though, IMO.

If we make the assumption that Coco and Carini were more or less equally useless to Inter, the question would be: who of Seedorf and Cannavaro was more important to Milan and Juve respectively. Well, Canna had two great seasons with Juve before Calciopoli made him leave, Seedorf was a key player at Milan for a decade and vital or at the very least important to every big triumph he won there. Canna was more than 30 when he came to Juve, Seedorf 26 in 2002.

In retrospect, I would say SeedorfXCoco beats CannaXCarini. If, on the other hand, the question is which deal made more sense at the time, I would agree with you. Coco, after all, was considered to be a good player for the future, Seedorf was something of a gamble, while Carini was a nobody.

Here's btw. the "Pirlo to Milan" thread of this forum 11 years ago :D

See no other figures mentioned, and the OP has the official Milan announcement copied.

The second post in that thread:

Basically what it sayd is that the deal is in the region of 35 milliardi lire (~17 mill $).
Tells some history about this guy (he started in Brescia 98/99 went to Inter). And that his contract is until the 30th of July 2005.

Taiwo assisted Dynamo Kiev's 2nd goal against Zagreb.
