You heard it from me first...If you all believe these rumours you are insane! Holding talks and the actual transfer are 2 different things entirely...How many years has it been since these rumours started? I think its almost 5... Nesta is a Laziali and always will be, even if some club does step up and offer us 50 million and he leaves he will always be a Laziali. Now I'm just amazed that you boys and girls think he'd go to Juve... Thats the biggest joke I've heard all year. If he does leave he will go to Real or Man-Ure, they can afford the big money transfer. No one else can at this point and all Italiano clubs are ruled out because of his love for The Almighty SS Lazio. Remember the clubs negotiate the transfers its up to the player if he leaves and where he goes. Juve will never, ever, ever...see Nesta wearing Zebra stripes...NEVER.
Another thing is the Champions League...If(when) we qualify for it we can confidently say that Crespo will be here as well. That is all these players want from this season and deserve right now. And on Sunday we will be 3 more points closer to that goal.
So with that said bring on those damn trigoria and we'll show them who has heart and soul on Sunday....DIO ONNIPOTENTE SS LAZIO

my my!!

God may let you keep your idealism.

My idealism is nothing but the truth...I can guarantee that. If Nesta moves to any other Italian side I will never post anywhere online again. Hows that...;)

Well...
That is a deal.
But would you really count on that? Maybe somebody's enthusiasm for Lazio is not as unbreakable as you believe it to me. People get divorced. Not that I hoped that. And I don't think that he will have that much to say in the process.

United back in hunt for Nesta
By John Edwards

Manchester United are back in the hunt for Lazio defender Alessandro Nesta after his proposed move to Juventus was threatened by objections to a family tie-up between his agent and the Turin club.

Nesta: United bound?
(GraziaNeri/Allsport)
Sir Alex Ferguson's brother Martin is booked on a flight to Italy this weekend to watch Nesta play against Roma and check on the latest twist in his expected departure from Lazio at the end of the season.

United's hopes of striking a deal for the ÂŁ30million-rated centre-back have been rekindled by a development that has stunned Juventus officials.

The Italian FA has stepped in to investigate a possible conflict of interests caused by Nesta's agent Alessandro Moggi being the son of Juve general manager Luciano Moggi, and it could yet scupper Marcello Lippi's hopes of signing the 25-year-old ahead of United and Inter Milan.

Ferguson has sent his brother to explore ways of reaching a deal with Lazio, who still owe United money from Jaap Stam's move to Italy at the start of the season.

United are also ready to sell Dwight Yorke back to Aston Villa for a knock-down price of ÂŁ5m after manager Graham Taylor identified the 30-year-old striker as his first major transfer target.
Taylor, who brought Yorke to England from the Caribbean in his first spell at Villa Park, said: 'The next four or five years are incredibly important for Dwight.

'This is the time of his career when his star should really be burning brightly. That's why he has to think about his next move very carefully. He can still be a great player.'

Lopo Deals With Depor's Fran...(Allsport)
03/08/2002. As the pressure of the immense Roman derby reaches new levels, Lazio have been linked with Espanyol's centre back Alberto Lopo as a possible replacement for the talismanic Alex Nesta. Lazio sources revealed on Friday that scouts were sent to monitor the 21 year-old in action against Tenerife last week.

Nesta has warned that if his club fails to secure a Champions League campaign he will leave and talks have already started with Juventus although after Depor robbed Real Madrid of their centenary day in the sun, president Perez may step-up his long term hunt for the world-class defender and outbid the bianconeri in his customary style. Juve are said to have offered a cash plus players deal, but these days Lazio just want the cash.

HAHAH!!

I wonder who he said that to. And when, since there is a press silence, and we all heard what he said in the interview of the 5th of February...
Well, going to Serie B and not qualifying for CL is quite the same, isn't it..LOL

Nesta has warned that if his club fails to secure a Champions League campaign he will leave

Guys,Sir Alex is much more smarter than to judge Nesta from only one game!

Nesta is the best and always will be like that,he had a bad game against Roma(i can't remeber if he ever played a bad game like this one),thats true, but he's a human after all!

Carson, come on buddy,Nesta worth much more than 20m Pounds!

Veron happy at United

Juan Sebastian Veron still maintains he will be going nowhere over the summer despite rumours about his impending to return to Lazio. "People talk about me leaving as if it’s already happened, but I have a four-year contract at United and I'm at a club that are quite possibly the strongest team in Europe right now. Why I would want to walk away from that?"

Lazio still love Gazza

Paul Gascoigne is still loved at Lazio according to ex-Inter defender and former Boro teammate Gianluca Festa. "Gazza is one of England’s most talented players and the Lazio fans still love him after all these years. Sergio Cragnotti recently described him as the best player he has had at the club. And I consider him one of the best players I have ever played with," said the stopper.

The midfielder looks to be on his way out of Turin
03/12/2002. According to the Italian press, Lazio are in the hunt to sign Juventus midfielder Antonio Conte.

The Italian international is out of contract in the summer and TuttoSport reports that Lazio representatives have already approached Juve general manager Luciano Moggi.

However, despite the Biancocelesti's interest, the 32-year-old is said to prefer a move to England with Arsenal and Chelsea both interested in his signature.

His future will be decided in the coming weeks but it does now seem certain that the midfielder is on his way out of Turin.

Nesta has made his choice: thanks Juve and Inter, but I want Real Madrid
