you may find this hard to believe, Bush is a hero to millions too in Iraq, in the place i grew up he is the most popular man in the world
Well there's always two sides to a coin. I'm against the "war", but in a lot of ways getting rid of Saddam was probably a good thing. I knew it's a dramatization, but I've watching "House of Saddam" and they did some nasty shit. Udai (sp?) was a psychopath.

How many university educated players won the Champions League? But, what makes him special is the Catalan cause for which he fights all life. So, FCB and Oleguer are symbolizing the same thing.

I admire Redondo more, but like Oleguer more.:)

as a member of an ethnic minority, or better to stay a non-sovereign nation, I understand that quite welll, in fact now I admire him, but i like Redondo more:smileani:

I do not understand the Oleguer part of the avator, do u want to humiliate them by having them have the worst player in your history?

I think the frame with Oleguer and the text " He-he" is the best part of the avatar.

A couple of years back I was watching a documentary on the war in Iraq and an Iraqi woman said that the US should have just left them alone. Saddam was THEIR problem. I know about the horrible things that damn family did in Iraq, but none of that could compare to the horrors that have been going on for years now and will probably continue for years to come. I don't see how the USA did anyone a favour there. I wish with Obama your country stopped playing world cop.

What a ****ing dumb ass that journalist is
That journalist is a legend everywhere in the world. Like some have already said, I too would be proud if he were my countryman. Luckily, the idiot dodged the shoes, otherwise that journalist probably would have suffered far greater injuries.

Kinda worrying some of you here are actually supporting a guy throwing shoes at someone, what if next time someone throws a handgrenade instead? :yuck:

man comeon, this shit is hilarious. i cant stop watching and laughing. the icing on the cake was when he called him a dog (kalb). hero indeed.
Don't get me wrong, Bush's reaction and smile was funny and especially Al-Maliki's calmness! He didn't even flinch as to say "Oh God! Not one of these again! I thought I told 'em to take off their damn shoes at the door!" But that doesn't take away from the fact that it was such a classless act. Is this the way you want your country portrayed in the world? "Hey guys your President is welcome to visit anytime! Just make sure you have that special protective bubble around him in case we have shoes being thrown by so-called educated journalists!"

Like I said before, believe me I ****ing can't stand Bush, his policies [Domestic and Foreign] and his dumb ass antics! But this is not the way to behave especially when we're going through a transition and arguably the most important time of our country, and it's freaking Bush! The dumbest President on earth to put on the spot and embarrass, just ask him a few questions about the economy and watch him entertain you with a few "Uhhh's" and "Ohhh's"! This is not Clinton who's answer would make you look like a fool! It's Bush for God's sake!

If this guy wanted to be seen as a so-called hero and if he got balls then let me see him do this exact thing in a neighboring or another Arab country! Let me see him try this with Hosni Mubarak and lets see how quick he can turn around without a bullet in the forehead! Let me see him try that in some of these Gulf countries and their amazingly full of grace and fairness rulers! :rollani: But nooooo he'll only do it where there's some kind of Democracy present? and because he knows sooner or later he'll be freed because of U.S. intervention, and btw I read that the U.S. Gov. already issued that they would like him released soon. This guy was probably paid by a certain party [Baath] to do this and it's so sad that he sold himself and embarrassed his co-journalists and countryman.

Sorry for the long paragraph but I just wanted to give my two cents. :)

Actually you might be surprised. I have a few Kurdish friends and their opinions have changed, because of his silence regarding the tension on Turkish-Kurdish border, but I'm sure he'll still find a few supporters in Kurdistan.

Shut up Robin,Life everywhere is not your posh, bourgeois. If people dont have food on the plate or medicines when they are sick, they are gonna get crazy. All this because you want to pay less for your gasoline.

To be fair Robin, it's a certainty that Bush's security detail had searched everyone almost to the point of body cavity searches. For all the fact that the media over here are enjoying dispensing tidbits of Arab culture ("that's a great offense, shoes, that is!"), it's more likely he simply had nothing else on him.

I was born, raised and lived in Iraq for 14 years. I was and still against the war because I knew it wasn't the answer and the so called Democracy will not come overnight and definitely not in the damn Middle East! But my blame doesn't go solely for the U.S. Gov. which takes a big share of the blame but I blame these Arab countries and Iran as well, who want to settle their personal conflicts over our soil and these same ****ing countries got used and abused by Saddam but now it's "God bless Saddam!" ****ing hypocrites! So if you're so strong and such a big bad bully where were when Saddam was gassing and mass murdering in every ****ing zip code? But nooo they're not human beings, so let them rot in hell!

It's true that there's two sides to every story but not this one, there's only one dark and bloody side to this one! I watched that series a while ago as it was uploaded online from BBC. The events are all true and real but I was pissed off that some of the characters didn't fit the actual role and they missed some important events as well. They could've done a better job if they turned it into a long series instead of 4 parts, which is waaay too short to cover a 30 years bloody rule.

I also find that the funniest part of it, I can imagine a depressed Madridista having to see Oliguer laughing at him with this silly he he.

I am not surprized, as a matter of fact there are Kurds who support Al-Qayda. But the general consensus is very pro-western, pro-american, probably by far more than any other muslim nation.

That laugh is the best part of the avator, it's the funniest I have ever seen here:thumbsup:

i know it is late, but how funny it would be if it was alternating with the pic of cannavaro hitting the post, or Guti or Romos's face when they make that fake angry face whenever Real concedes a goal.

Thanks Homer.

I agree, there are lot of pics that can be put, but it would lost it's form and turn into a slideshow. Plus, there's 30 KB limit for avatars and for every additional frame I had to reduce quality to fit it.

Anyway, nice ideas.

No, it doesn't compare. Exactly why though is a different story.

I wish we'd stop playing World cop too. Maybe then somebody else would step up and and they'd be the victim of a 9/11 instead of us.

I agree entirely. Just don't forget religion.
