This result should be a good kick in their arse, We started out too slowly and deservedly conceded. After Getafe's goal we weren't really able to break up their bus though, you are not going to manage that with players like Hleb, Keita or Bojan. Despite Keita's goal I have to say again that he has nowhere near enough creativity to start as CM. Should be DM at best.

Alves MOM, I thought him and Pedro could do very well down the right. Dani'd get a kind of Navas type of player who he can link up with, promising duo IMO. Puyol and Pique looked a bit shaky at the back, Rafa's an absolute key player for us, hope he'll be in the starting XI against Sevilla.

Sammy also had a poor game, he couldn't hold the ball very well and had lots of poor passes where he could have surely done better. Henry played pretty well and should start next match.

Something really really important at the end of my post:

I want to hear absolutely NOBODY saying again in the future that Hleb's anywhere near as good at dribbling as Messi. ****ing clowns.

Gotta say Pep's tactics were off, that starting lineup just didn't have enough of a creative element to spark the goals.

Yea, I noticed this happening in a few games now where we start the same way and then with some energy off the bench we get jolt and get going. We can't keep doing this, Pep got to start off with the right elements from the start of the game against the 4 teams coming up.

Pedro showed more in the little time he played than Bojan and Hleb did combined during their time. That pretty much shows just what was wrong tonight, wrong players in the starting XI. Even though Keita scored our only goal, he didn't do much good tonight. Touré did everything we can expect from Keita, and more. I think Busquets would have been a much better option, giving the strength Keita has but adding a lot more to the flow of the game.

These kind of games do tend to occur throughout the season and it might be a reminder for the players that there is still a long way to go and that they haven't achieved anything yet..

Damn it! A very good display of ambition and class, we didn't show more "Messi-dependencia" then what was expected (he is the best player in the world, and those are hard to replace), had it not been for that ****ing crossbar the game might have ended 4 or 5 to 1.

Anyways, Bojan looked ****ing depressing on the pitch and even more so on the bench, I think he started crying when beeing subbed, he did whipe his eyes. Pedro showed why he's a better football player than Bojan and also reaveled this manegements stupidity when keeping him and Jeffren out of the squad. WE NEED ****ING WINGERS!!!

And the one who talks about Benzema is a bloody moron! The man hates playing on the wing aswell and ended up in a fight with Ben Arfa over that last summer. Benzema needs to stay out of Barcelona. Henry, Eto'o and Bojan is enough wortless junk to have on the wings, we do not need one more.

Look at this shit now! Messi and Iniesta are injured and who the **** can we play there now? Hleb, Bojan, Henry etc. I said it in the summer, we need Jeffren and Pedro. Rotting away in Barca B is not something that these two should do when they are 20/21.

I'm sure Pep would have sent Bojan back to Barca B if it wouldn't have ****ed his confidence so much. Bojan isn't ready for La Liga, he wasn't last year either but your blinded love for this wonderkid made you alll miss it. I never thought he displayed a performance out of the ordinary last year and he sucks even more this year.

An Arshavin would have changed most things in the team. Then we could have kept safe on this rotation stuff that pep got going on, subbing Iniesta and Messi leads to this shit if you have Henry and Hleb replacing them.

And know to the backline, we need Marquez BAD! And I personally hope he retires here, noone in the world gives you such a dynamic attack as this Mexican. Puyol can't even dream about it and Pique might in a couple of years. (though they have other attributes).

That's only the Arsenal fans. They're clueless.

Jeffren has been injured the past few months so you can't blame Pep for that and who would Pedro replace huh? Messi? Henry who was decent here?

I also disagree that Pedro is a better player than Bojan. Put out Villa, Torres, Benzema or any striker you want on the wing and they would look average there also. Doesn't make Pedro a better player. If you played Pedro at the striker position how do you think he'll do? Bojan has the potential to be a Raul in his prime or Villa. And he scored 10 goals with limited playing time as a 17-year old which hasn't happened since Raul way back in 94 I believe. Pedro was never anything special unlike Bojan who made record after record in the Cantera. I know Youth-records isn't everything but they give you an indication of the talent of a player.

To be honest, I don't see how Arshavin would fit on Barça's squad. They'd have to sell off Henry first I feel because the amount of attacking options on the left is already in excess.

We cant win every game.

The image was quite good - they tried everything to get the win.
In the past we wouldnt have tried that hard to secure a win...anyway, we missed a big chance to move away!

but leader before the big games is still good. we can allow us one loss (we shouldnt!), they others cant

maybe it was good to go into december with a draw - now they know that they are not invincible

Pedro wouldn't replace anyone, he'd be a backup, because who do we have now as Messi's backup? Hleb/Bojan. We need someone usefull. And that jeffren has been injured dosen't change shit. Pep still sent Jeffren back to Barca B from the beginning, this dispite his very good pre-season. It was a very bad call from Pep doing this, and now they want Benzema, talk about not noticing your misstake.

Pedro is a better player than Bojan today and I'm sticking to that story. Bojan didn't do shit last year as a center and looked even more lost with two centerbacks on his ass. Pedro contributes alot more to the game, and has more confidence in him. He's willing to stick his chin out and go crazy whilst Bojan holds back.

I'm not doubting Bojans talent, I'm just saying that he sould have waited a year or two more before entering the A-team. He was brought up in far to immature and far to week stage of his career. Scoring 850 goals since 11 or whatever years of age dosen't give you a ticket in.

Look at Busquets, the kid was completly unknown to most of us before this season and is shaping up to be one of europes best DM's. That's becuase he was brought up by Pep at a good age when he was ready, not ****ing rushed and shit. Pep knew everything about him and decided to trust his talent, but he had to be mature.

Most of the time I think media and fans just hasstled Rijkaard into bringing Bojan and Giovani up so early, when noone of them were ready. Everyone said: "Rijkaard you idiot, look at Bojan 850 + goals in the cantera, bring him up", "Rijkaard look at Giovani, one of the hottest prospects in Mexican football aswell as our cantera, bring him up". Well one has already ****ed up his career by his immaturity (Giovani) and the other one isn't playing any good by the lack of experience and confidence.

And on top of this, now everyone is yelling at Pep to bring Gai Assulin and Thiago up in the A-team. Don't make a mountine out of a mold-hill (or some shit like that), Gai and Thiago might not be anywhere near beeing ready for CL and La Liga football, not even next season.

Messi might have set a very bad standard in FC Barcelona making everyone from media, cules and boardmembers think that all our hyped talents can make wonders like him at 17/18 because he did it.

Some talents need to wait and mature, some kids are more like Iniesta and Busquets and less like Messi and Cesc. And by some I mean about 95 % of all kids on this planet. Not many mature like Messi and Cesc.

Really Remi, pure nonsense. Left attack options excess?!

This draw is good for Pep. Helps him control the over-confidence.
I didn't say good options, but the fact is you have Pedrito, Henry, and Hleb all for that position, now you want to throw in Arshavin too? You'd better off load someone. Big squads have poor chemistry.

I would like to add that Bojan and possibly Giovani went up because Barca B went down a division. If Barca B they had stayed there they would have continued. There were talks of loaning him out but in the end they felt it was better for such a young player to stay at home. It wasn't only Rijaard's decision.

And Messi being Messi did set a bad precedent for others because he's one of a kind.

Isn't it funny that it takes not winning or playing brilliantly to make this forum come alive? :(:D

Bojan is being brought through in the correct manner. This awful performance doesn't change that. He's simply too good to waste playing in the younger teams, it won't benefit him at all to do so. He doesn't play all the time, and is still to be considered a regular first 11 player. Just like Messi himself was.

Yes, you didn't say good options. I apologize, 'cause that fact makes your post a good post. We need to offload some players. I would offload Henry and Hleb and bring someone else, but my suggestion is to take someone from Primera.

You're right about chemistry and the fact that we have lot of players. But, considering their form, all are for nothing. Only Iniesta plays good in that position, and maybe Pedro.

That's also true, but we should have had more patiance and should have it in the future (considering Gai and Thaigo). Bojan might have evolved even further under Pep's rule as a full starter in Barca B than he did under Rijkaards.

Well, this season has shown that playing him very little in the A-team didn't do him much good either. Young players have to learn how to crawl before they can walk (to put it that way), they can't just rely on their talent to walking (or something like that :D).

Simply working with the first team will bring him on in massive amounts compared to running around with kids. He's still in the position of people liking his talent but not expecting him to carry the team ala Messi, so Bojan should be ok for another year or so.
