That's only the Arsenal fans. They're clueless.
Boludo Perdido
Jeffren has been injured the past few months so you can't blame Pep for that and who would Pedro replace huh? Messi? Henry who was decent here?
I also disagree that Pedro is a better player than Bojan. Put out Villa, Torres, Benzema or any striker you want on the wing and they would look average there also. Doesn't make Pedro a better player. If you played Pedro at the striker position how do you think he'll do? Bojan has the potential to be a Raul in his prime or Villa. And he scored 10 goals with limited playing time as a 17-year old which hasn't happened since Raul way back in 94 I believe. Pedro was never anything special unlike Bojan who made record after record in the Cantera. I know Youth-records isn't everything but they give you an indication of the talent of a player.
Pedro wouldn't replace anyone, he'd be a backup, because who do we have now as Messi's backup? Hleb/Bojan. We need someone usefull. And that jeffren has been injured dosen't change shit. Pep still sent Jeffren back to Barca B from the beginning, this dispite his very good pre-season. It was a very bad call from Pep doing this, and now they want Benzema, talk about not noticing your misstake.
Pedro is a better player than Bojan today and I'm sticking to that story. Bojan didn't do shit last year as a center and looked even more lost with two centerbacks on his ass. Pedro contributes alot more to the game, and has more confidence in him. He's willing to stick his chin out and go crazy whilst Bojan holds back.
I'm not doubting Bojans talent, I'm just saying that he sould have waited a year or two more before entering the A-team. He was brought up in far to immature and far to week stage of his career. Scoring 850 goals since 11 or whatever years of age dosen't give you a ticket in.
Look at Busquets, the kid was completly unknown to most of us before this season and is shaping up to be one of europes best DM's. That's becuase he was brought up by Pep at a good age when he was ready, not ****ing rushed and shit. Pep knew everything about him and decided to trust his talent, but he had to be mature.
Most of the time I think media and fans just hasstled Rijkaard into bringing Bojan and Giovani up so early, when noone of them were ready. Everyone said: "Rijkaard you idiot, look at Bojan 850 + goals in the cantera, bring him up", "Rijkaard look at Giovani, one of the hottest prospects in Mexican football aswell as our cantera, bring him up". Well one has already ****ed up his career by his immaturity (Giovani) and the other one isn't playing any good by the lack of experience and confidence.
And on top of this, now everyone is yelling at Pep to bring Gai Assulin and Thiago up in the A-team. Don't make a mountine out of a mold-hill (or some shit like that), Gai and Thiago might not be anywhere near beeing ready for CL and La Liga football, not even next season.
Messi might have set a very bad standard in FC Barcelona making everyone from media, cules and boardmembers think that all our hyped talents can make wonders like him at 17/18 because he did it.
Some talents need to wait and mature, some kids are more like Iniesta and Busquets and less like Messi and Cesc. And by some I mean about 95 % of all kids on this planet. Not many mature like Messi and Cesc.
