Don't you find these sorta stadiums to be a lil flat? I like the towering stadiums...I kinda get the feeling our voices are better heard in those (e.g. the Bernabeu)

The stadium was designed especially regarding the acoustics so in theory it should be better.
Nice!

We're getting some nice stadiums in the UK now...espec with Wembley and Ashburton coming :)

I can't wait to go to the new Anfield when its finished :) - what are their plans for the current Anfield?

I dont know what u would call the new kop, behind both goals look identical, only the main stand is different having 3 tiers instead of 2.

they should have designed behind one goal a stand that looks like the kop only bigger :scared:
Actually if you look closer at the vid the Kop end is way bigger then the other end...has more depth to the stand looking down from the aerial shots.

if this is the case then great ;).

on second look, the west stand which i feel is the new kop end looks very big especially as the first tier looks like the kop :eekani:

I just hope that the crowd can be closer to the action now ;), but i think uefa rules mean that the crowd are placed a bit further back.

anyway i hoep they can also make a new "boot-room" and make the home dressing room bigger, they are tiny, plus we should have the steps leading up to the pitch and the This is Anfield sign for the players to touch and the opponent to see :proud:

yep new age shyte with no soul.

The rest of the world looks at our old school Trad Bricks as they call em with snobbery, but also envy the history, because their stadiums all loook the same.

lol I hate these stupid bowls they suck ass, lol have you seen the one roma and lazio play at?

the roma elite all stand at a place call the curva sud, sounds cool but basically its the curve on the south side, and it looks just like the other 3 curves

You can't really use the Westfaldstadion as a base for our design because they have terracing for league games, the picture you've been showing is when the terracing is in place (they change it to seating for Euro games and Internationals, which takes quite a bit off the capacity).

I agree that they should have been able to 'fill in' the top corners, rather than have those circular things, but the roof would probably cave in :howler: .

All in all I'm pleased with the design...I just want them to get on and build the bloody thing now. :frustrat: :frustrat:

I agree, with the bit about the City Stadium, the problem there is that the stands are too far away from the pitch. As long as the gap isn't too big at the 'new' stadium, the atmosphere will be fine. :)

well money is all important I am sure if we could get millions we wouldnt' mind what we did , just have to hope the likes of tampox ,durex or bloody netto want to sponser us or the stadium cos I don't know if I could trust the board to say no.

Well the best case scenario would be that we get an investor from the middle east who invests hugely (ÂŁ200m) for about 10-15% of the club 9.9% of which is from Granada's shares and that they sponsor aswell and there is no need for stadium renaming, etc.

Something similar to what juve has with the libyan oil company tamoil who sponsor them and has investment interests in the club through libyan business people. ;)

funny you should mention oil becos the strongest link in recent weeks has been that any deal/money will come from oil company ....

A Norwegian consortium has been linked to trying to buy the club.A financial adviser and a hippy hotel chane owner apparantly, they want some former Boro and Swindon striker who currently coaches Lillestrom to have a role in the coaching. There said to be worth 150m and 250m respectively, which isnt very large considering the club is valued at over 200m.

Hopefully there just jokers trying to get some headlines.

Norwegian group to buy into Liverpool
tribalfootball.com - April 22, 2006

A Norwegian consortium are ready to plunge millions of pounds into Liverpool.

The Guardian says the group have been put together by Oystein Stray Spetalen, a financial investor worth an estimated ÂŁ150m, with their principal backer the hotel magnate Petter Stordalen. The 43-year-old Stordalen is something of a celebrity in Norway, having championed the country's tourist industry and tied himself to a footbridge over a drainage pipe at Sellafield in 2002 after claiming radioactive emissions from the nuclear power plant were polluting the Norwegian coast.

"It is my policy not to comment on any potential investments," Spetalen told the Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang.

Stordalen owns 90% of the Choice Hotels Scandinavia group, Norway's largest hotel chain, and is believed to be attracted by the potential of building a hotel alongside Liverpool's proposed new stadium on Stanley Park, together with a possible casino.
