The 26-year-old has penned a four-year contract with the club that has described the move as "the most important signing in our history".

A member of Argentina's 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship winning squad, Aimar was initially dubbed 'the new Diego Maradona'.

The creative midfielder made his senior international debut in 1999 and was a member of the side that disappointed at the 2002 World Cup.

Aimar's early promise saw him move from River Plate to Valencia in a 24 million euros deal in 2001 and he helped Los Che win the Primera Liga title in 2002 and the Primera Liga-UEFA Cup double two years later.

He made three substitute appearances for Argentina at this summer's World Cup.

Although Pablito is my favourite player and I support Valencia, I'm glad he left because Valencia's style of football didn't suit him at all.

Aimar and D'alessandro ere joy to watch in the early WCQ games, especially against Chile and Bolivia IIRC and hopefully they'll show that again in Zaragoza.

Zaragoza will be an exciting team to watch.

-------Diego Milito---Ewerthon
--D'alessandro------------Pablito

This year La Liga will great for us.
Villareal, Zaragoza and Atletico are full of good argie players. And we have a guy called Lio Messi in Barsa. I heard he is good.:smileani:

I couldn´t understand why Aimar was preciated so less by the officials of Valencia.

It will be interest to see what Zaragossa can reach now.
Hopefully Aimar will have a good time there.

Ampersand unfortunately is serious, ArgBoca!

Personally, never been impressed with d'allesandro. But to d'allesandro's credit he helped Portsmouth avoid relegation in the EPL last season after moving from Germany.

Aimar helped Valencia win la liga in 2001-02 and 2003-04 season. So, I don't know how Aimar is better than d'allesandro.

But Zaragoza should be an interesting side to watch in La Liga this season.

Aimar hardly featured in Valencia's 2nd Liga win as he was mostly out with injury.

Anyways, I don't think D'alessandro is better than Aimar but to D'aessandro's defence this is probably the first good european side that he'll play in because, no offense, but Wolfsburg and Portsmouth were average IMHO, so this season will give us a clearer idea.

Anyhow, I'm sure they'll rock together.
