No Andrade?
No Ayala?

Doesn't matter, even though Nesta leaks goals all the time I still rate him alongside Terry. :D

Kopite - Pfft, I've seen Terry use his head for a foot to knock a ball away from an attacker. THATS balls! :)

Woohoo The King is in it this time. I voted Nesta and King, that would just be the greatest centre back pairing the world has ever seen. TWO complete defenders playing together, most teams don't have one! I reckon Jolie could make that happen :D

No wait we've already got Dawson, in that case I'd turn Nesta down :)

I wouldn't touch Terry with a barge-pole, pervy cockney prick I don't want him in my side. Give me a classy pacey center back next to Carragher anyday, Jack Hobbs?
Jack Hobbs :proud:

Terry good player, just has another dark side to himself outside of the game :pp

Just a lesser version of Carragher they wouldn't work as a partnership imo, no pace (saying that Hyypia is even slower then Terry and him and Carragher have formed a good partnership)

I agree Lugano should be there.

Rio is the only English defender that is comfortable bringing the ball out of defence. The way some teams play, Milan and Barcelona for instance...you can't just have a stopper to man-mark and hoof the ball into touch ( something Brits proudly call Route 1 or no-nonsense football :veiled: ). Terry and Carragher can tackle and are strong in the air, but some elite clubs like Milan can't have players like that ... with pathetic passing ability. Stam can actually nutmeg players and provide quality crosses :eekani:

I cant believe how highly-rated Ale Nesta is. At the moment he is so uncertain and makes so many defensive errors. Against Chievo he was the worst man on the pitch but here he is rated as the best defender in the world.
I really like Nesta and he's a classy defender if he is in good form but currently he is just a "normal" defender.
I rate Cannavaro higher them him...

You also need the option: Other

'Cause I vote for Nemanja VIDIC :star:

It's hard choosing the second best  but I go for Maldini, the man deserves it.

Yeah but he can't tackle for shit, we've got midfielders and strikers for looking good on the ball.

Btw Ledley King is quite good at bringing the ball out of defence.

John Terry is the best , however voted for Rio as everyone else seems to just vote for players on their team in these polls, this was obviously the case with carragher having 6 votes.
