Just over 2 weeks till the opening game of our World Cup qualifiers against Cyprus. This is a must win game if we want to have a crack at qualifying and hopefully its a packed stadium to cheer on the team. Alban Meha and Burim Kukeli are expected to be called up which will be a massive, massive boost but nothing official yet. Last time we played Cyprus under Kuze the score was 6-1.

Ujkani
Lila-Cana-Mavraj-Vangjeli?
Curri?-Kukeli
Roshi-Meha-Hyka
Bogdani

It would be more ideal to play Meha in his natural position out wide but since we lack an attacking midfielder he will have to play there. Hopefully Vangjeli and Curri are back in time and have had at least a bit of game time with their clubs.

Definitely a must win if we think we have any shot at qualifying. Here's a little of what we can expect from Cyprus and their most recent results:

For the Euro qualifying they only got 2 points (draw away @ Portugal and draw home against Iceland) Interesting that the group includes Norway and Iceland as well. Cyprus replaced its manager in June 2011.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2012_qualifying_Group_H

Recent friendlies include:
Bulgaria 1-0 Cyprus (8/15/2012)
Cyprus 0-0 Serbia (2/29/2012)

I admittedly don't know much on Cyprus's squad. APOEL had CL success last, and AEL looks like it might make the group stage this year. Im curious if either team had Cypriot players of high quality.

Kukeli has come out and said he hasnt been contacted by FSHF in three months. Hopefully these duds hurry up and get it sorted. This is a fatal blow if he doesnt play.

#9 ·
According to Curri he wont be match fit for the upcoming games therefor unavailable. We're screwed.

I think Kapllani needs to get a call up if not a start this match. He's been on a tear this season. Just keep him as striker and not a winger or supporting striker in which Kuzhe tried to use him as :notlist:

Haha whos in their plans Lilaj? Bulku? Gtfo with shiit footballers like Bulku who start you have absolutely no hope of winning games at international level. Kukeli himself wont be enough but it would be a start and I highly doubt Kace will be called up. The one time we get a favorable draw and we can do something about it by calling players that will give us a chance FSHF continue to fuk up and downgrade us.

I agree they are making a mistake with Kukeli but come on.. we all know how conservative fshf is with these Kosovars from abroad.

They see Bulku as a starter.. The question is who partners him. FSHF is very close with Greek football so I think Kace is called up(since he's not called up to u21)

Kace cant defend and is too small but when it comes to passing, intelligence/how to read game.. He's pretty good.

Bogdani should definitely not start as he's 34 and just wont cut it anymore. Salihi should start and be partnered by either Sadiku (Goal Scorring Machine) or Cani. Roshi on the wing should be lethal then Hyka on the other side. I'd play Cana central with Kukeli and the defence is really bad but i like Vanjelli. Cyprus should be a push over, the real challenge is Switzerland as if we win both we will be 70% sure to qualify.

Wonder is Shaqiri and Xhaka will play...Plus Memedi and the others

Salihi doesn't deserve to start as he's not in favor with his team. I think Kapllani should get the start as he's been playing great so far in the second bundesliga. I would like to see Januzi get some PT as I think he's a good player. Kapllani-Bogdani-Cani-Januzi should be our forward depth

I blame De Biasi because he is the coach and surely he must know that Bulku is a dud and the rest of those pub players that dont deserve a mention. Another thing he plays in Iran ffs. De Biasi should recognise the problem and confront FSHF with what players he needs. Curri and Vangjeli will be out for this game which leaves 2 massive holes in starting 11. I think we will most likely finish with 1 point after these 2 games. Just a funny thought to leave you, imagine Shaqiri against Dallku :howler:

Salihi is finished IMO, he shouldnt even get called but so shouldnt Sadiku because he is simply not good enough yet. Bogdani, Januzi, Cani, Kapllani should be our strikers for now.

#25 ·
Looks like Kukeli will get called up which is refreshing. Worrying news is that Cana has picked up an injury for Lazio and will miss tomorrows Europa League game and could be out for 2 weeks . Whats worse is we have no one to come in and do a job without making a meal of things.

Starting Bogdani is a joke. How much goals does he score a season? 5 if he's lucky. Last season Salihi got 11 goal in 15 games for Rapid Wien which is a great recored. But to be honest the main player which should start ahead of them is Sadiku. He got 28 goals last season and is just 21 years old. The portuguese U21 manager said he is a amazing talent that let's you know this kid is special and if he doesn't start these qualifiers it will be a huge cock up on the managers part. When was the last time a Albanian scored 28 goals in a season?

Salihi is a joke right now. I watch the MLS regularly and he can't even find the bench for DC United atm and players like Long Tan, Maicon Santos, Lionard Pajoy are starting over him lol.

Bogdani, Kapllani, Balaj, Januzi and possibly Sadiku should be the forwards for this game. I would like to see Bogdani and Kapllani starting up front together.

BTW, I also like Sadiku but he plays in the challenge league FFS. Let him continue to dominate that league and find his way to a better league.

#29 ·
Buddy you obviously dont understand football. If you watch NT you will know that Bogdani is a focal point for the team and is a top player for us but you obviously dont. At the age of 35 he is still starting games in Seria A, something that Salihi could only dream about.
Sadiku plays in the Swiss 2nd divison which is a joke of a league sunday league standard. Yes he has played well for the u21's but that's where he belongs till he improves a whole lot more and plays regularly in a decent league.
Salihi as i stated in a previous post is finished for the NT. He can't even get a game in the MLS, and in the last friendly it showed he was abysmal along with duds like Bulku and Dallku.

Call ups of Sadiku and Salihi are a joke. Salihi is a 4th/5th choice striker in DC and Sadiku plays in an amateur league that's on par with Albanian. If he was any good he would've transferred somewhere else but probably no one wanted him so he ended up in another challenge league team.

Right now the most in form striker is Kapllani. Even Bala deserves a call up before them. Bogdani is still good for as long as he continues playing in serie a.. a league Sadiku, Salihi and Cani could only dream of.

As for Azemi.. it makes sense that German federation wants him. Any 19 year old getting play time in Bundesliga will be snatched by them. You cant say no to Germany. :smileani:

#31 ·
What I think is Azemi wanted to be called up to the senior team but they called him up for the u21's so he was cut and didnt reply simply as that. Hopefully Mavraj can convince him otherwise.

We need to cap these guys once in friendly matches.
Salihi is a joke right now. I watch the MLS regularly and he can't even find the bench for DC United atm and players like Long Tan, Maicon Santos, Lionard Pajoy are starting over him lol.
MLS is just not the right league.

I've got way more football knowledge then you could ever dream of having mate. Bogdani last year played for cescena. In 49 appearences he scored 8 goals...That's quality right? Plus his goals are usually shite as there either tap ins or headers.

Reading the comments it shows why everybody thinks the people which run the FSHF are a joke as they have the same opinion as you lot. Sadiku a upcoming 21 year old talent should be ignored. No wonder Alban Bunjaku (Possibly is going to be the best Albanian player to ever live) is thinking about playing for england instead.

Take example off Switzerland, when Shaqiri and Xhaka were 18 and 19 years old did the swiss manager go they need more time, no he threw them in and look at them now. Albanians need to open there eyes as Bogdani is not Messi, he's shite we need to try youth to have any hope for our NT.

At the end of the day Cyprus should be a push over and we must ensure that we beat Switzerland so early on in qualifying we can be very confident in making it to the World Cup. Also the reason I say we can beat Switzerland is because I don't think their Albanian players will try their hardest and that should give us a chance.

Positive: Meha, Kukeli, no Bakaj/Muzaka.

Negative: the lack of Curri and Vangjeli because it means amateurs like Veliu and Osmani got called up.

Would've been nice if Kace got called as a sub.

6 strikers called but left home the most in form ones.
