This is the first time I open a thread like this in Turkish forum, and hope it will bring some extra luck ;)

This is the last and the most important game of the season, and it all came down to this - all or nothing. Our fate in our own hands, and given our performance tonight, I say nothing is impossible

Only one victory separates us from an open road to Germany, so, fire your engines bros, we are about to hit the road ;)

In a post game interview, Tumer guaranteed a win, let's hope they keep their promise :D

Who has mehter Marsi-start playing it and putting it on loop-'tis the season to be jolly, Germany here we come!

I hope we get a good draw in the playoffs and make it to Germany, the WC needs a team like Turkey, not too many NTs with such flare, boasting a vast array of players with such technical skills!

Ohh beeee I feel soo positive about this team att he moment, Hadi cocuklar, time for the red moon crescent flag to wave high!

I dont think turkey will give it away now.Tonights win for denmark was basically a big win for Turkey.

Personally i want to thank my team for the joy they gave me in the summer of 2004.This teams cycle is now over. Most of our players are 31-32.You have a lot of young players 23-24 years old who are now established at big clubs. You guys ''needed'' to miss out on euro2004 until these players matured.

Come 2006 i can genuinely see turkey makin an impact.Thank God we have some very talented young players but too young(Altho Mantzios can already destroy werder bremen).A new succesuful cycle will come very soon.

Im interested to see how this Nuri sahin turns out.

As for wednesday i think 0-3 Turkey.

Albania has a wicked home record over the past 10 years, and 5.5 million Danes cling to that for the next four days :D .

But I have to say that I can't quite bring myself to believe you'll **** this one up. So - while hoping to jinx you, I'll just extend the congratulations in advance.

Better you than Greece anyway. Just a shame that Ukraine succeeded with their zero-football strategy, but no matter how Wednesday pans out we have only ourselves to thank. Turkey and Denmark are certainly the best football teams in the group.

Couldnt agree more.....while im feeling happy for Ukraine (and Schevshenko) who finally reaches the final stages of a big tournament, it's a shame to see a country like Denmark being left out.

But it's all from over.....Albania will do their best to improve their performance in this group and Türkiye doesnt alweays perform very good in high pressure games.

Hopefully we learnt from the Latvia game. This will definately be very difficult and we have to be concentrating from beginning to end to get a victory.

I'm glad we had no injuries from the Germany game and maybe more belief in ourselves.

If we do win, then we still have ANOTHER playoff to worry about! :D

If we do qualify for the playoffs (i know its too early to talk about this) i want nothing else than to meet either England or Sweden.....

we have a couple of unsettled issues with them....:D

They always beat us. I am sure we could outplay the Swedes for 90 minutes and still loose. :scared:

we dont always lose to sweden.....but they beat us the last time. we beat them in 95 and since then it has only been draws until we lost in Istanbul after leading by 1-0 until the 88th minute.....i didnt go to Uni for 2 days after that game. :D

Poland is the leader of the group, England still can overtake them for the first spot when they play them at home. That they're already qualified must mean they have the most points as runners up.

actually, i dont get why people say england is already in (i read it on papers too) becoz....currently england are not the best runners up :googly:

romania is, or eventually the czechs if they win the next game.....

and there is only one spot for best runners up, right?

http://www.uefa.com/competitions/WorldCup/Standings/index.html

but then again, theres fewer teams on englands group :googly:

In the groups with 7 teams you must eliminate the points that the second placed team got from the last placed team. In the group of Romania, Armenia is currently the last one, we got 4 points from them so we have 21 real points instead of 25. The Czechs got 6 points, so they have 6 points less in the comparisson with other 2nd placed teams.

The 2 best 2nd placed get the qualify BTW.
