Winter Transfer Market 2011

Why is Parma always scouting/buying those South American players? Well next doesn't include those players but for example I found it very frustrating when Genoa bought Linus Hallenius from Hammarby and costed 1,2 million for them. Hallenius could very well be the next big Swedish player. Last season he did 17 goals in 29 games for his team. But if you wanna buy Bojinov from big club and pay them 5 million pounds, you can do that. I really don't understand why we are always after some Brazilian or Argentinian. I'll give you another example; I think everyone of you have noticed how Josip Iličić have been playing for Palermo..? How much did he costed for them again? Oh ye, 2 million!

Well, now we are in big need for central defender. Barzagli would be nearly perfect choise, but no idea if we have enough funds to buy him. It's pretty bad situation for next summer as we must buy half of Candreva, Giovinco, Džemaili and Galloppa. Sure we got that ~7 million from Genoa but it's not going to be enough to secure all of 'em.

My opinion is that we should do some critical changes not later than next season. By throwing Valiani, Morrone, Paci and Lucarelli away. Also I think that Spanish players don't really fit in Italy, so Marques and Calvo can leave too. :rollani:

Maybe some more discussion later...

I'm all for better scouting in Europe, but it seems ridiculous that a having had decisive players like Crespo, Asprilla, Sensini, Veron (remember he was actually good when he played for us? ;) ) in the team that we should stay away from south american players. Yes, we've also had Amoroso that never really fit in, Ortega that was shit and overpaid, and Montano, Junior and Bolano that I liked, have tried hard but didn't quite make it.
Agreed and didn't ment that we should entirely stay away from there. It would be just so important to check Europe more closely. Can't deny that we haven't got great players from South America, but it just seems like we are always looking there first.

Isn't it starting to look like Slovenians are the increasing trend in Italy? Tim Matavž could be pretty good addition to OUR squad as we are kind of missing that target man. Well ye, Crespo have been great this season but who is going to take his place if something happens or if he decides to wrap his career up sometime near future? Price tag wouldn't necessarily be a huge one for Matavž now, but is growing all the time if continues playing like this. Have made 19 appearances so far this season with 10 goals and 1 assist.

Another striker how could be fairly cheap and have a potential is Daniel Larsson. Well he is more Palladino kind of player but still. Playing for Malmö FF. And if I got this right, he is capable of playing as a winger too, which would fit to our 4-3-3 quite well. This season 28 appearance with 10 goals and 9 assists.

These are just couple of names that I wanted to throw for discussion.

I would take Granqvist. Playing a good season at Groningen, although whole team is. Hasn't he done almost ten goals this season..? Ye, I checked it. 8 goals in 20 appearances. Only 2 yellow cards. Not a bad stats for defender. Transfermarkt states that his market value is 3,750,000 €.

Hopefully we catch Matavž aswell.

In: Modesto (D, Genoa), Palladino (A, Genoa), Calvo (M, Aris), Amauri (A, Juventus)
Out: Paloschi (A, Genoa), Antonelli (D, Genoa), Dellafiore (D, Cesena), Danilo Pereira (M, Aris Thessaloniki)

Ye, we got some money but look at that seriously... We're going to have epic summer if something.

Like Vanta said, we should definitely offer extensions to Pavarini and Rossi. Not sure but didn't Angelo wrote his name name on just one year contract?

Should just cruelly put out players that aren't good enough. You get some money by selling; Valiani, Marqués, Lunardini, Castelli, Lucarelli and Bojinov maybe.

We could also finally try how Fontanello does for us?

2011/12: 4-3-1-2

Mirante (Pavarini)
Zaccardo (Rispoli, Feltscher) - Granqvist? (Ogbonna?, Fontanello) - Rossi (Volta?, Paci) - Modesto (Gobbi?)
Candreva (Pereyra?) - Džemaili (Ze Eduardo, Morrone?, De Vitis) - Galloppa (Hetemaj?, Obiora, Obi)
Giovinco (Giaccherini?)
Larsson? (Pellè, Paonessa) - Destro? (Crespo, Đurić)

Ogbonna's and Destro's contracts expires next summer so we could catch 'em. Well anyway we're not going to have enough money to buy everyone, as we must secure those half's of Candreva, Gio, Galloppa and Džemaili.

It's been again a quite long time since I wrote here last time... so let's take a quick look to this weeks rumours.

Apparently there's been some talk about Galloppa-D'Agostino swap deal. I don't wanna lose Galloppa even though he have had a hard season. Pre-season injury ruined it.

Okey, what else... We are following Ligue 2's leading goalscorer Sebastian Ribas with a few other teams. Has done 19 goals this season for Dijon. Would be an absolute killer as he is 1,89 m tall and weights 86 kg.

Also, Joel Obi is about to move away from Inter because of lack of playing time. As we already own half of him why wouldn't we buy that other half, next summer..? I would love to have him on our squad. Then we could use Obi-Nwankwo duet on our midfield. Take 'em in from bench or something.

That's all for now. Later.
