I just hope against Spain it is not a 4-2-4 and we play a little smarter.

 

My concern is our coach. Many a better Italian coach has failed to defeat Spain in the last several years, what makes us think Mr Chubby Cheeks is gonna pull it off?
Hoping for a miracle.

 

Only way to handle Spain is with a 3-5-2 since they mostly play down the centre. Not sure we have the forward options for it but maybe we will see:

Spain lineup looks deadly. Ours looks mediocre, and Chubby Cheeks already stated many players are not fit. :scared:

 

We will get raped unless he fields a very conservative lineup. For example:

insigne belotti bernardeschi
verratti de rossi parolo
spinazzolla chielini bonucci darmian
buffon

would get thrown in the garbage after 20 minutes
there isn't enough coverage from the wings and the central mid is weak

like I wrote before:

is more likely to be successful
and by success I mean
0-0
or 0-1

Football Italia says Ventura will probably field a 4-2-4 which sounds like suicide in Spain. Not sure why we'd need both immobile and Bellotti on the field but oh well, I'm sure it'll be somewhat entertaining. The midfield is going to get destroyed though, unless insigne has a masterful game

 

Spain's mid is quiet good to achieve the result.

What a stupid line up that is. Why cant he play 4-2-3-1 or 3-5-2; this would at least help Azzuris to counter.

Spains U-21 was compeitive as well & the result has proved it already.

 

Starting XI:

Italy formation is wrong though i would think.

Morata not starting for Spain is a bit surprise.

 

 

That's a very offensive and risky line-up

 

Nothing to lose really. 2nd place is almost guaranteed for the losing team anyway and we have to win to go past them, unlikely that Spain drop points against one of the other teams and we are unlikely to outscore Spain in the remaining games so even a draw is almost useless .

Too technical and fast for anybody Italy has. Down the middle is too easy for Spain they don't even need crosses.

 

Belotti wrong offside call going into 1 v 1.

 

I feel like we should switch to a 4-3-3.

 

Defense looks shaky.

 

Verratti and De Rossi have to be 100% better, it is too easy in front of the defenders.
