Ok boys, I watched our latest u21 games against Czech Republic and Wales and it one player has really proven himself and gotten my attention since he almost doesn't make any mistakes, and thats very imortant for a fullback which he is. I also like how cold he is and that he doesn't stress and get nervous , hes very cold hearted which our team needs because when an average NT player gets the ball it seems like they just want to get rid of it. Anyway, have you seen him?, and when do you think he will become a squad member in the NT. I think very soon since hes showing extreme potential. He is also good in headers which is the biggest flaw of Armenian players.

He currently plays for Pyunik

I don't think he is good enough to deserve his own thread yet

P.S. I think that making these threads decreases the value of the other player threads. not all players get their own thread. even karlosh doesn't have one, and he has much more potential than haroyan

Well this player is very good for his age and hase huge, really huge potential, I'm talking Ivanovic potential. And I rarely make big assumptions like this. Trust me, watch him play a couple of games.

i've watched all his games and he is a good defender, but yea, but threads aren't opened on potential, they are opened on accomplishments. it skews it for players who have done much more for our country.. i guess we'll let the mods decide tomorrow.

Well personally I don't find anything wrong with the thread. I'll keep it going just to see if there's any potential for it. For arguments sake though, opening it was WAY too early and if it dies down real quick I'll close it until he moves to a foreign club.

The last sentence of the first post says it all. He still plays for Pyunik, meaning he's still on the same team as quite a few crap players. Definitely one of the best players on the squad, however it's not saying much unless he proves it at a foreign club. I'm sure we all thought Heno had potential when he was with Pyunik, but none of us were sure until he moved.

Yes but I think Varazdat is very special since it seems that he plays in a real european style, very confident, calm and sure of himself. He rarely does silly mistakes which is what a lot of Armenian players are good at. He is also good in headers and getting away the ball with his head which also is what Armenian players are terrible at. He is special I think and I hope he goes far. =)

Maybe I should have worded that a bit differently. Okay, in my opinion, the ref could have let the first yellow slide by giving Haroyan a warning.

I don't know, maybe he already got a warning prior to that. I didn't watch the game and I'm saying all this just by looking at the highlights.

For sure he loves Armenia. No one doubts about that. In revanche, he has the potential to play for France NT. He is considered as the best french defenser of his generation.
If I've understood what I heard, he wants to play for France NT, and his parents too.

But he would never decline Armenia NT if he thinks it's his better option.

Hopefully he joins the Armenian squad, because I doubt the French would love and support him as much as the Armenians would. Plus, if he joins the Armenian squad, then he should know that he will be getting A LOT of playing time. :)

Although he is a promising young player in Frances system, I highly doubt he makes their NT. In my opinion, Frances strength is their young central defeneders.

Sakho 21 (PSG) and Varane 18 (Real Madrid) will be their starters for over the next 10 years. They also have very solid young back ups in Koscielny (Arsenal), Rami (Valencia) and Mangala (Porto).

It is good that Andonian has high expectations for himself. It will only help get better especially in France's system.

Right now he is only 16 and doesn't know any better.

oh , sorry, he has to change his team during u16, 19, 21 otherwise he wont ever be able to change national teams. Even if he has played one single game in another national team

#29 ·
As far as I know, there are only two ways to be unable to switch teams.

The first is to switch U17, 19, 21 teams. You can only change teams once in the youth system.

Second, is to play more than one minute in official NT game.

Hakop, I agree he is a very good player.

Rami has a huge following amongst his fans. Although he might be "playing on the other team". Try googling his name.

As an Arsenal fan, I would have loved to have both Sakho and Koscienly.

In a feeble attempt to tie this back to its original thread, hopefully Haroyan can one day transfer to FC Marseile and join an all all Armenian defense of Andonian, Haroyan, Malhassian and Desenclos.

This might be time to close this thread.
