seriously, what can we gain by firing him? even more unstability? and some new obscure manager, who either never managed a team in anything even close to la liga (and even there didn't show anything special) or are completely clueless managers, living off their player careers? yes, unai seems clueless sometimes, but so do you :rollani:

no yesterday's defeat is not a regular defeat or a draw.. we got outclassed by Getafe ffs!! and we drew to sporting 3 days before!

So who do you suggest we get to replace Emery? Keep in mind that we don't have much money to hire a guru like Capello who could win a trophy with any team in Europe with the exception of Atletico (God himself wouldn't be able to manage that pitiful team to success).

So who do we get? It would probably be some cheap Spanish manager who would be churning out the same results as now or possibly worse.

Hes doing a good job. I also like the fact that he and the backroom team have also worked on our defence. Not too long ago we were all complaining about our leaky defence, i think we have made good improvements since then.

I am sure with a few new additions in key areas Valencia will once again be able to challenge the top two. For the time being we need the stability.

TOP2? we are the most obvoius choice that can win La Liga! with some key fichajes we can win UCL

Here is the full quote... Fernando Gómez, speaking at a club event on Tuesday, said that he expected to deal with manager Unai Emery's contract situation "in the coming weeks."

"As President (Sporting Director) I am very happy with the progress of the team and the work of Unai and the coaching staff have done so far. In any case, we will have to wait a little bit longer. We should value his work regardless of results, although that is what decides these things."

OK, fcuked up how we lost a 2-0 lead, but how much can Emery say and do when we're leading 2-0 up at HT to fcuk it up though? Some blame should be put on the players as well IMO, if your winning 2-0 and in control a manager can't say and do so much to ruin that. But, obviously the Ever/Topal sub was not good, but i'm talking about HT team-talk here.

Sometimes you also got to credit the opposition for the come-back, i've seen the goals and they play some nice stuff, with their little triangles and what not.

Anyway, Emery's position will not be questioned or considered until we start drifting down the table, ala Sevilla this season and what Atletico and Villarreal did last season.

Until then, nothing will be said or questioned, so until that happens (if) everyone's gotta to just deal with it. Also, Emery has proven this season he can have good performances with the team and string a run together, so that's another reason to keep him, cos' we could start performing again ala the start of the season.

Plus, i've still not heard any viable candidates to take him over.

If we stick by Unai, he'll (hopefully) keep learning.
Not repeat these mistakes. Get better.
And could turn out wonderful.
Can't knock his dedication and commitment to his job.
But what he needs to work on, is getting that from him, to the players.

i dont wanna go out on a limb or anything, but your fans have to be the worst when it comes to like/dislike of managers. i know what you'll say, "you support a club that has hired 29 coaches in 20 season", that's true, but that's not the point. its about the fans not the management perception of coach.

most if not all other clubs' fans who want a manager out dont then go and say we want him back a few months later, much like your lot with Quique, Cooper etc. and im not talking media, but just fans and their white-hankees. you've become synonymous with this.

you simply cant do better than Unai, so why would you want him gone. you are top4 (i think) and that's performing at what some might say higher than expected position.

I'm with Redhat here. First of all, you have to look at the goals for the team. Valencia is alive in Europe, reaching the knock out stages and in the top-4 of La Liga too, behind Villarreal, but also with a decent gap on Atletico and Sevilla (I guess Espanyol won't be a rival in the long term).

If you also consider the players you lost last summer, I believe that the results are good overall... what else can anyone ask Unai Emery to do?

Well, if you haven't been steadily watching the team, you would of course say that. "The results are good".
Yeah, they sure are good but how, we have done too much bullshit when playing, I don't how many times this has happend this season but it's way too much. If we're going by Espanyol, let's look at the defence. It has a average of 21 or so. Inexperienced defenders are better than our defenders which are not really young guys without experience in top clubs...

But yeah, let's have this: "BE HAPPY WHAT YOU GOT, YOU'RE HAVING DECENT RESULTS, YOU MUST STAY SHIT SO WE CAN KEEP OUR DOMINANCE. A BETTER COACH WOULD BE A THREAT TO US"

hi guys! im newbie here with weak english!! here in iran we have a many valencia cf fans who strongly support the team! and we have a forum for getting together!
i think emery is a little head coach for us! we need a bigger guy or a young coach with good talent and more wiser than him!! he is a first half coach and maybe he must secede for Second half! and i think he'll waste our very well position in cl. so maybe its better to fire him now and get rid of him.
look at where we were and where we are! today winnig over barca and real even villareal, atletico, sevilla, ... is our dream (esp out of mestalla)!! being in top 4 of the laliga table is very good but winning over big teams is important too. anyway i think the emery's season is over!!
