Bad choice by Lincoln who has entertained a few friends or relatives at a late hour, the night before a derby match.

Our defense looked very solid against Besiktas so we should probably keep the same lineup, but find a place for Lincoln in the starting lineup. Lincoln might simply replace Arda as the playmaker, but I think it would work better if Arda replaces Baris as our right midfielder.

We need to be careful and not go all out attack like in the first game against the swiss. It is obvious that their gameplan will be to sit back, defend and try and catch us with with long balls to their quick strikers.

Fc Sion lost 2-0 against Aarau this weekend and are currently 5th out of 10 teams in the swiss league. They've won 4 games, drew 2 and lost 5. They've only managed to score 12 goals in 11 games. Fc Zurich who Besiktas beat easily have scored 30 goals...

i really have a hard time deciding who's worse: hakan or ümit. but i've come to the conclusion that i'd prefer a nonda-hakan partnership over nonda-ümit. ümit is completely useless except in front of the goal and hakan is the exact opposite. i prefer two forwards who are able to play football. one of them is able to score. that should be enough for sion.

 

Baris is a hardworking midfielder who does defense when we lose the ball. Arda has difficulty getting behind the ball when we're not in posession. I think we'd have less difficulty functioning as a whole with Baris. Arda is a pretty one-dimensional player who excells in creativity but lacks in defensive capabilities. If we take this match seriously one creative midfielder should be more than enough. So I prefer the same line-up we had against BJK. With Baris instead of Arda for the right side. When was the last time we saw Arda start there anyway? Chances are slim Kalli will experiment yet again in this crucial match.
