Quique Sanchez makes his debut in the Calderon as a coach with the CL match against Chelsea. The last time the team played in Calderon they were held to a draw by nine-man Mallorca, which Quique saw from the stands. The last weekend' match in the league against Athletic showed an improved face of the team but still annother goal from a set piece ensured that Atleti are in the relegation spot. It can be no better time to pick from the scratch for the team and there can be no better motivation than to prove against one of the best teams in Europe. A positive result against Chelsea would be difficult and the term difficult is an understatement.
Aguero is bit doubtful for this match so lots will depend on Forlan who has been misfiring since the start of the season. If Aguero does not start the team would go in for a 4-2-3-1 with Jurado slotting in behind Forlan. No other change is expected in the starting eleven.
