An important game for the Italian outfit, but a worthless game for us. Udinese need at least a point to guarantee qualification, while we have already secured first place after beating Werder Bremen by 3 goals to 1 in the Camp Nou.

A positive to take from this game is that we have an excellent opportunity to see some unfamiliar faces and fringe players have a chance to prove themselves against European opposition. But psychologically, it's hard to see the whole team up for the game and I would be surprised if we got a point out of this one.

We should see the likes of Jorquera, Maxi, Ezquerro and Damiá get the minutes along with some Barça B players. With Márquez and Deco expected to miss the next league game against Sevilla, providing their yellow cards do not get revoked, we could also see them featuring in the game too.

There's not much to play for, but I'm still hoping for the win

Visca el Barça!

History showed that Barça played to win even after 5 group victories so I'm still hoping for a good result, even though Udinese will be so much more motivated. If we'll see Ezquerros, Maxis and Damias, which is most probable - those guys do have motivation but on the other hand they will save their legs for other games and I bet the Italians will be much more agressive which eventually might result in losing control in the midfield, especially that we'll miss Xavi and probably Deco.

You're lucky Raul. Enjoy your trip :)
About the game i'd like to see this line-up:
-----------------Jorquera---------------
----Belletti--Oleguer-----Rodri-------Gio
------------------Edmilson----------
-----------Gabri-------------Iniesta---
--Giuly--------------------------Ezquerro---
-------------------Larsson----------------

i hope we win, it'd be better for football if Werder were in the knockout stages as opposed to udinese

Oh what a load of crap Udinese are a good side and have worked hard to be where they're,why is it better that Werder Bremen would make it better for football? God you're full of it!

i agree with that , but with maxi in the 2nd half , hope he gets his chance and prove that hes excellent, and puyol instead of rodri.

I think we'll see Marquez instead of Puyol and Rodri might feature in the second half..

I'd give the starting spots to players like, Gabri, Iniesta, Jaquera, Ezquerro and Rodri.

I don't think we'll use Maxi in this game, because if he is in to move to Betis, I think he must not play in Europ and thats what makes him out for this game.

I'd give Messi and Eto'o and Ronaldinho a rest, but Ronnie would love to play so he can keep his scoring recored in Europ high :)

its a tough game, still I see us winning it 2-1 with 2 goals from Ronaldinho or Eto'o..

Visca el Barca i Visca Catalunya :star:  :strong:

The list:

GKs : Valdés and Jorquera
Défenders : Damià, Belletti, Oleguer, Puyol, Gio, Sylvinho And Márquez
Midfielders : Deco, Iniesta, Gabri, Edmilson
Strikers : Giuly, Messi, Larsson, Maxi and Ezquerro

Ronaldinho and Eto'o are both rested for sunday's clash vs Sevilla.
Btw If Maxi plays this game he will probably not be able to join a team involved in a European cup.

There's another Márquez? We could do with another one :)

Along with Ronaldinho and Eto'o, Edmílson isn't there either. It looks like we'll see a squad consisting of first team and fringe players. I guess that means no Barça B players, then :undecide:

Sport made a mistake, they ment Marquez and Edmilson, but they used Marquez name twice it seems, hehe :D

I think the Sport writer who wrote the squad names, maybe likes Marquez a lot, and have something against Edmilson, hehe :D

so its 1 Marquez guys, don't get so Hypd, hehe :D

Maxi has not played in Europe with us this year yet. If they're thinking on loaning him out in December, he shouldn't play. If he goes to Betis he could play UEFA Cup at least.

I would be surprised if we got a point back to Barcelona, even if we played with our best team. Udinese will be a lot more motivated and I think we'll see a game like the one against Shaktar last year. I hope Puyol gets some rest, and Jorquera can get a chance to shine in Europe, he deserves it.
