The first leg in Turkey is creeping up soon. For those of us in Canada, we’re lucky that it’s Remembrance Day - a national holiday, which works out perfectly.

As for the match, the line-up is too difficult to predict even though we’re only weeks away from the match. I am curious as to who will feature along the back 4, who will be fit, etc. You guys probably have a better idea of what to expect. This is going to be a difficult leg, and although the teams are going through similar times, Croatia still have to be considered the favourites.

Haydi Turkiye, hayirlisi…

Watching that pictute made me miss ( the old) Tuncay. Loved the way he always deliverd for our NT with his ( mostly crucial) goals and a display full of passion for the entire game. Anyway a win with a clean sheet would be awesome. 1/2-0 falan filan. Bu arada boyle pis bir insanin bu topigi acmasina karsi itiraz ediyorum.

First of guys, good luck, may the best team win this battle.

It will be a tough unpredictable fight, I am sure of that.

We have a few guys who wont be able to take part in this encounter
1. Niko Kranjčar LM
2. Mladen Petrić CF
3. Ivan Strinić LB

Any of your players missing these playoffs due to injury?

Cheers Zico

That Nuri seems like quite a great little player, and I have a feeling that Mourinho will have no choice but to let him go and play for his country.

First, I want to say that, I signed up on this forum just to write a comment about these upcoming games between Turkey and Croatia.

I am Turkish living in US, and I play casual football with people from so many different nations, and played with a lot of Croatian players. What I didn't know and learned by listening to them is: Croats are VERY racist especially against Turkish people, due to history from 400 years ago. Turks, in return, do not have any beef specifically with Croats. I have never seen a more racist group than Croat players, and I played soccer with people from almost any nation.

The fact that Croatia lost back in 2008 (and thereafter that historical game, there were also lots of incidents between Bosnian Turks and Croats) and the fact that the first game will be played in Turkey...I can only imagine how bloody the second leg will be in Croatia!

To Croatians, this Turkey game is like the final, like the epic battle they were taught in their history books ever since they were kids. It is about REVENGE to them!

We Turks do NOT even realize how life-threatening the second leg in Croatia will be! Croats keep talking about a big surprise waiting for the Turkish NT in Croatia. We have a chance to get even with them in the first leg in Turkey, if you know what I mean.

:howler::howler::howler: Ahhhhhhhh that was good. I have tears in my eyes from this post.:howler::howler::howler:
When you get to man hood, look me up and we can play a non-confrontational/non rascist game game of footie right in the states if you like. I'll bring the soccer balls and you supply the wine, cheese, bread and prosciutto( i am coming from Canada its the least you can do for a Croat, i promise not bring my hockey skills to a game of footie:howler:)

Most actual Cro people live in Croatia and a large percentage (not all for the record) of the Cro people in the US have only seen their country on the travel channel, as proven by some XT posters we all know and cherish. So I wouldn't look too much into that. :D

Listen, only reason why it sometimes gets more attention is because some Bosnjaks (Frenk and co) tend to root for Turkey and it can create tension in mixed cities.

As for the Croatian fans, they're pretty much always fanatic, no matter who they play.

Listen, buddy. Don't try to patronize me like Im b's'ing here. I am NOT talking about Croatians who are Americans, who were born or moved to US a gazillion yrs ago. I am talking about immigrants. Croatian ppl who talk Croatian who came on a visa and can hardly speak English, and go back to their land almost every summer.

Cros consider us Turks in the same dough with Bosniaks. Bosniaks = Turks. I wish I was bullsh..ing here but I am not.
