U19 Friendly against England:

Abdülkadir KAYALI, Alptekin TEYTEY, Hasan ERBEY, Serhat HÜRRİYET (Fenerbahçe), Ali KUÇİK, Erkan KAŞ (Beşiktaş A.Ş.), Emre ÇOLAK (Galatasaray A.Ş.), İsmail Haktan ODABAŞI (Bursaspor), Özgür ÇEK (MKE Ankaragücü), Abdulkadir ÖZDEMİR, Mücahit ATALAY (Trabzonspor A.Ş.), Erhan KARAYER (Dardanelspor A.Ş.), Mustafa Olcaytu ERGEN (Malatyaspor-Fesih), Oltan KARAKULLUKÇU (Gümüşhanespor), Atilla Aybars GARHAN (MKE Ankaragücü).

Lost 1-3. Özgür Cek scored. Seems like a B-squad.

U16 will play against Germany tomorrow.

Mehmet Erkut ŞENTÜRK, Burak YILMAZ, Hüseyin Cankurt ATASOY (Beşiktaş A.Ş.), Gökhan SÜRÜCÜ, Beykan ŞİMŞEK, Kerem ÇAĞATAY (Fenerbahçe), Emre ÖZER, Fatih BOZOK, Seçkin DOĞAN (Galatasaray A.Ş.), Taha Can VELİOĞLU, Sercan ŞEN (Bursaspor), İbrahim YILMAZ (Büyükşehir Bld. Spor), Recep NİYAZ (Denizlispor), Taha Cengiz DEMİRTAŞ (Gençlerbirliği), Okay YOKUŞLU (Altay), Salih UÇAN (Bucaspor), Kaan YAVUZCAN (Dardanelspor A.Ş.), Aykut GÜLER (Gaziosmanpaşa), Ömer YILDIRIM (Hoffenheim)

Kaan Ayhan (Schalke) was nominiated too, but he refused.

Probably because he's in the German squad for this game (look at the German squad, it sounds like Turkey 2): http://www.dfb.de/index.php?id=500115

They'll probably pay no attention what so ever to these kids untill one of them actually shows good signs of being a superstar.

And then they'll turn around and run a smear campaign on him for picking Germany. Our TFF. :proud:

The way the TFF treats a lot of these kids more and more will start playing for Germany. It will get even worse if a few Turks can turn into regulars on the German team.

A good few will also pick Germany regardless of how much interest we show from an early age. But again this isn't going to stop people from dragging these kid's names through the mud. All that does is alienate other kids from the TFF after they see how their mates are treated.

Even the ones that can't play in Germany are good for Turkey :howler:

So they'll be forced to recruit them someday..

Unfortunately I don't believe that their players will choose us.

Did you see what happened in the last months? Lots of players that played for (or were invited to) our youth teams are now playing for Germany! Kaan Ayhan, Murat Bildirici, Özkan Yildirim, Taner Yalcin, Semih Aydilek all played for us and are now playing for Germany. And on the other hand, we didn't get any player from the German national teams in the last months.

When we played in the U19 EQ against Germany a few weeks ago, we won 2-1 (Germany was already qualified whereas we needed a result to move to the next round) and the player who scored for Germany was Cenk Tosun.

Mesut Özil scored 1 goal and assisted 4 goals this weekend. This boy is the best player that our Gurbetci community have produced and he isn't playing for us!

TFF sucks.

The game against Russia ended 2-2 and there was a customary brawl after the game with cups of Vodka and Raki spilling all over the place. A couple of Russian kids ended up with minor injuries in the hospital, no idea what led to this dumb behaviour by both sides

Now for a moment of reflection.

Five years ago in 2005, the squad listed on this page won the European title. Not long after, it gave Brazil a footballing lesson with 10 men (before losing to a silly goal) in the semi-finals of the World (U17) Cup.

How many of them are even pushing for a spot in the senior side?

Just noticed Fenerbahce had 1 player in that squad, and of course it was a goalkeeper :howler:

Wow, when was the last time FB contributed the most home grown youngsters that have actual 1st team league experience...

#36 ·
Had the win against Belgium and in typical Turkish fashion, gave up a goal in the 90th minute. 1 point heading into the last match against Spain, so basically we are done.

#37 ·
Well, saved the best performance for last. Beat Spain 3-0, great performance. Unfortunately Spain and Serbia advance because of Serbia's 1-1 draw with Belgium. So we lost out on head to head.
