We won't get Buffon.

With Sabatini though I believe we can nick Sirigu and Pastore from Palermo. Perhaps Cassani too who I rate highly.

Would like to take a gamble on Santon too. Not sure Inter will keep him if a healthy offer comes his way.

Actually I don't think you'll trade with Palermo... not without Zampa ripping you off, if he even agrees to deal with Sabatini... having him imo would actually hurt you in dealing with Palermo and Zampa, not the other way around.

Anyways I wouldn't take any of those names seriously now.. it's all speculation.

Translation:

Walter Sabatini is close to Rome. The former Lazio and Palermo's sporting director, within the next few days or even hours, will meet Thomas Di Benedetto, Italian-American businessman interested in buying AS Roma. A face to face meeting to know whether the conditions exist to get the signature of Sabatini. His arrival is closely related to that of Franco Baldini, who will fill the role of general manager.

With Thomas Di Benedetto's takeover close to completion, Roma are drawing up a wish list of players for next season.

Di Benedetto arrived in Rome on Monday afternoon and was mobbed by journalists eager to discover his plans for the club.

The American told La Gazzetta dello Sport that he wants Roma to finish in the top three places in Serie A every season.

Di Benedetto has been in contact with England general manager Franco Baldini who has recommended Walter Sabatini as a director of sport.

Sabatini recently oversaw Palermo's transfer policy bringing the likes of Javier Pastore, Josip Ilicic and Abel Hernandez to Serie A.

However, it's said that Sabatini already has an agreement with Sampdoria ahead of next season.

Nevertheless, speculation is mounting that Roma will launch bids for Javier Mascherano, Gabi Milito, Federico Balzaretti, Diego Lugano and Gigi Buffon.

Translation:

The wedding between Roma and Marco Borriello seems to be already over:Joined Roma late august after refusing Juventus, Borriello could now take the road to Napoli, leaving a vacancy In Attack that would be filled by Gilardino. Gilardino is looking for new challenges after the experience with Fiorentina's got no hope , and the new city of the Americans might be an interesting challenge.
The players is evaluated at 20 million, a figure that Rome can lower to at least 16 by entering a few players from the youth sector. Gilardino, who keeps dreaming of Juventus would be very happy to arrive to Roma in the summer. The two companies should have to meet in early June to put pen to paper the deal, but Fiorentina is not prepared to grant discounts even if, as promised by DiBenedetto, AS Roma is ready to do significant investments in the transfer market.

I say big no to Gilardino, I rather keep Borriello then sign Gilardino. He is not up for top team.

you're being generous.

That would be my plan aswell. Building for the future. Unless the player is the right one, I hope we don't follow the recent past policy of buying rejects from big clubs who are getting old and in the most not good enough to win titles. (of course i realise there are very reasonable exceptions and getting the right ones is so handy as they often come cheaper than normal, but they must also be fit in with a younger squad)

Corriere dello Sport:

AS Roma Mercato: Pastore to Roma with the arrival of Sabatini?

The new Roma seems determined to focus heavily on Javier Pastore, Palermo's playmaker. The Argentine player in a recent interview ruled out to leave Sicily for at least another season. Now that Roma seems to have reached an agreement for next season with Walter Sabatini (former sports director of Palermo) it opens the door for the sale of Pastore to Roma.

Day by Day it looks likely we will sign a big game player like Lamela, Pastore.I think thats very intresting to discuss. Day by day it looks more likely we can snatch Buffon from Juventus. Seems Juve want to cash on Buffon, and Make Storari number one. Day by day it seems likely Menez will leave us.

day by day it seems that all of your conclusions are based on baseless rumors, which in turn make your conclusions baseless. the point is, day by day or not, there's nothing to be excited about until a clear quote from someone that matters indicates something to be excited about.

don't mean to kill your buzz man but there's nothing yet.
