This thread is dedicated to our best player, Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite.

We could post news about him, quotes, opinions and all that stuff.

I'll get the ball rolling..

"This year hasn't started that well, I have had a sore foot but now I am training and feel better. I hope that my first goal of 2007 comes soon. As for the draw yesterday, we can still go through and it's just the first half.

I am convinced by the signings made in January and Milan have a project to keep the team up there at the top in years to come and buying players in January is part of that. It's a bit complicated for me to speak about Ronaldo because I am such a big fan. I was just starting out in my career when he was on top of his game and the world number one so it's always been a dream to play alongside him at club level, I have done it with the national team but not for the same club. The Inter fans have to understand:)D) that football is like this but I understand their sentiments and those of Moratti as both of them are friends.

Ronaldo best characteristic, I feel, is that he can change the course of a game in one moment, he makes the difference even when he isn't involved in the action. I don't think he will change anything in the way fo tactics, instead of which a player like him adds more quality. We'll see if he arrives.

We are looking for consistency and the coach has said that we need to find the right road to bounce back. I would say that obviously we didn't control the game yesterday evening in the right way, as we were 2-0 up and drew 2-2. It's true that Inter are very strong but we can't say the title race is over, however, they will be difficult to stop. I am also disappointed that Juventus are in Serie B, hopefully they will be back soon.

I said hello to Ronaldo after the game and he seemed very content. The fact that he picked Milan over greater financial offers shows he still has a lot to show in football. I am also pleased to be at Milan and my future does not depend on what happens at Real Madrid. Of course, I think that I might not get on well as has happened with Shevchenko although I believe he can still write his own history at Chelsea.

Ronaldo didn't pick Milan because there are a lot of Brazilians here but because Milan always want to win. He's a great and friendly guy but first of all we have to see if he signs, then if Barcelona let Ronaldinho go it would be a great buy! It wouldn't be bad having me and Ronaldinho playing at Milan but it's up to the club to deal with transfers so I can't really talk about it.

It's been said that there are no standard-bearers around today but I hope to become one. Maldini and Costacurta are great examples, hopefully, I will remain here and one day become captain and a standard-bearer for Milan. "

Kaka was better in his first season than he is now.

He used to be a monster with long shots. Ball to Kaka 15-25 yards out was like a penalty but alas, no longer.

Kaka that doesn't score is not much at all I'm afraid.

huh? are you kidding me? I think his last season was his most productive ever.

His first season brought him a total of 14 goals in all competitions.

Last season he had 14 in the league alone! And a total of 19 goals in all competitions.

Your comment, I respect, but it is baseless.

Sorry, but this doesn't make much sense at all.

His first season was great and took everybody by suprise, then he suffered the usual dip in the second season but he was still critical to the team, last season was by far his best, and this year he's well on track to match it

He doesn't score much ?! He's tied with Drogba as the top scorer in CL you know

Yes, Kaka' is developping in a beautiful way, he's today more faster, more confident and more productive than last year and the year before IMO!!

I just think Kaka Gilardino and Ronaldo is pretty incredible as it is.
I remember when we all shit a brick for Rui Costa Shevchenko Inzaghi, this is significantly better IMO
PS: I miss Rui, he was the most professional player I've ever seen, and was class too.

Nope, Politician is right IMO.

His goal count might've been lower but his performances and also the quality and importance of goals he scored were more impressive and he was an integral part in our Scudetto win. You can't rate an attacking midfielder on goal stats alone. His overall game has never been as good afterwards as it was in his first season with us (and same goes for the team as a whole too unfortunately).

He's been very good this season though, if he keeps going like this he might outdo his 2003/04 season.

I still cant understand this. Kaká has developed so dramatically from his first season Im extremely shocked you guys arent noticing it

Kaká from his first season was often a player who had long periods in a game where he was invisible, but would suddenly out of nowhere get the ball and run half the field and shoot.

Nowadays he carries Milan. If Kaká has a bad game, its safe to say Milan will unfortunately have a bad game. He is involved in almost all the attacks (see last year how many one touch goals we saw coming from Kaká-Sheva-Gila), he still runs half the field to shoot and score (most recently Brazil-Argentina) and most importantly he knows how to play for the team and not playing alone for glory. Selfishness I remember was a huge problem in his early days here. Maybe even now, but less.

Can you tell me how am I wrong now? :D

he trained finishing in São Paulo non stop with the physio, they would after practice work on it everyday for half and hour. I tell you since his debut his long range finishing dropped dramatically.

he had the best long range shot, he would always hit hard and low with incredible precision.

Secret of great long shots revealed.

I am also of the firm opinion that last season was the best we seen of Kaka, his performances was more stable and he contributed more than ever. This season I seen a clear drop in form from him, but that goes for the whole team, so there is not surprise.

his game changed, his passing improved and his finishing abilities decreased, I enjoyed more his game when he was more direct his first season is much more spetacular than the following ones.

the same thing is happening to Gaucho with Barcelona, becoming each time more an organizer than the direct player he used to be.

****ing boring

Kaká has definitely improved since his arrival. Goal scoring iactually is very important in this case. Kaká is a playmaker and a scoring midfielder and he can run on the wings. His runs at speed have improved and have become more usual. Granted that the long shots and overall finishing have dropped, but the scoring is still there.

He seems to be in a drop right now, but seemingly also nothing to worry about. Kaká is the kind of player you just know he's going to be great. Ho showed from day one in Milan that he was something else, and his attitude clearly is an important plus. Future captain written all over him.

Come on, scoring goals with 20 metre shots in the 80th minute than scoring penalties. He used to score vital goals with a frightening regularity, now he wants to be Rui Costa and still be Kaka - I think he was better completely verticalizing our play 100% of the time with the pass as a surprise.

Goals are goals, but some goals are just more than other goals. Kaka is doing too much imo, trying too hard.

Keep him healthy, we don't want any damaged goods when we come in the summer. ;) :pp

It is only this season that he have taken our penalties. he still scores plenty of screamers, comparing last season to his first I can't say he scored less of those and clearly he scoredmroe goals in total.

Him trying to much may just be you seeing him this year, clearly the whole team is more or less dysfunctional at the moment and a normal reaction is "trying to do to much". Or simply failing in what he did best, that was/is his runs and shots.

he gained a lot in Milan, his passing is superb something he never had before. Looking at the CL final against Liverpool and the pass to Crespo that was something, but he also lost a bit of his best trait which was his sharp shooting!

Something he always had since he was a kid, someone needs to make him train harder.

I also believe he improved as a player, mainly physically. Kaká is now an established world beater.

His game will change with time. I miss the low, curled and powerful shot, like the second goal against Deportivo. Unstoppable.
