well I was waiting for our first loss, but it refuses to come...:) Maybe we won't lose all year?...No I doubt it. But on the other hand there are only 2 games left in the first round and we have 5 wins and 4 draws in 9 games. The only undefeated team in the top 3 leagues! Incredible considering that we were just promoted and would be thrilled with a mid-table postition. Top of the table is just hard to believe. Of course we all know that the liga leumit is never decided until the 93 minute of the last game. So we have a long way to go. Still we are enjoying it so far... Yesterday in the 1-0 win at Nazeret Ilit the goal was scored by the originally named Tibi Tibi (couldn't his parents think of another name?). In other news, Ofir Azu is now on the U-21 team. Last week he decided not to score when he had an open goal but instead to try and dribble around the opposition defense a second time ;). He was removed immediately by manager Mishel Dayan despite the fact that Hapoel were left with 10 players... hope he learned the lesson. Stay tuned for further reports....Kadima Hapoel Yerushalayim!!!

Hrevivo I think MM was just giving his prediction for sunday's 'game of the season'. :D

Yes, Hapoel's run is quite surprising, but I wouldn't say amazing, due to the fact the Leumit has always been a mad league and everything there could happen. Most teams ran on similar resources and budgets so there are hardly any real favorites to drop and promote. I said at the beginning of the season that Hapoel's squad could be good enough for top5 spot, and I wasn't too far away.

Anyway, I can't wish you good luck :D but it would be good to have the Jerusalmistic derby back in Ligat ha'AL again.

God I hate Hapoel Jerusalem :)

Damm right!!!!

Hapoel Jerusalem is for them!!! Not us! :D
We're fist class citizens!!!

Hapoel is so nasty :nasty: that they mess up the stadium on Friday games for us, so it will be hard to play in saturday :yuck:

We should expell them from our stadium, until they stop this behaviour and move them to the YMCA stadium bwahahahahahaha

Excuse me? The only unbeatable team in the top 3 divisions? Appologize immidiately!
Whoops you're right and I was wrong....but now that I am posting this you have lost your first game so I am right.....well not quite. I just noticed that HaKoach Ramat Gan are also undefeated in the Liga Artzit. BTW unbeatable means that no team can beat them ever. I would not say that about any team...not even Hapoel Jerusalem ;)

Big deal about Kornfein! In your adults he only played for ONE season, ONE season! So if you want to keep raising players and then sending them to other teams until they land in Beitar and become our symbols and greatest players in the country, please please keep doing so ! :)

Forza Sachnin ! :)

SHACNIN EM ARAVIM!!! :fero:

Hapoel just talks and talk! I would like to see them in the Liga Ha'al for a nice derby or two, but they know the fact straight off..
They will be trashed, once they ever meet the Beitar "Death Dealers"

Face it! Your not European enough :nasty:

4-0 over Sachnin! I see that Raanan already posted it so I"ll just add a few things on this thread. That was probably our best game of the season. Especially in the second half in which the passing game was very good. Shai Aharon, a player who could not score a goal last year in the Artzit if his life depended on it has now scored 7 goals in 10 games in the Leumit to lead the league! Hard to believe but it just shows the difference if a player has confidence. 2 excellent goals by Ronen Feigenbaum and one by Ram Seti. Still we need to tighten up the defense since Sachnin missed several chances. One unique thing about the club BTW is that we are the only team in the top 2 leagues with no foreign players. 100% Israeli players! Next week, Kiryat Gat away.

Back by popular demand....and a great win yesterday against Nazereth Ilit 3-2. Koba Diba scored his third goal in the last 3 games after getting a role in the starting lineup. U-21 player Ofir Azu scored the third goal on a quick counter attack which wiped out Nazereth's chances. Golan Malul had a briliant game in goal and IMHO is Man of the Match. *HAPOEL YERUSHALAYIM* The team with *NO* foreign players and the team with the smallest budget in the league returns to first place. Even if Ahi Nazereth win today we still remain second. Coming up next week is a tough away game at Bnei Sachnin. Games in the most exciting league in Israel where the leaders change place every week can be seen on channel 33 on Fridays. KADIMA HAPOEL!!!!!!!

Hapoel is definitely in the right direction....if they do win promotion we can officially declare you guys as the Israeli Man City - 2 consecutive relegations and then 2 consecutive promotions. :)

That 3:1 win looked pretty solid, Azu (who is a big star - Rumours said we're interested in him and Yona said he'd give Sason Shem Tov preferance if he's interested in Azu since Shem Tov helped your team a lot before) scored a marvellous goal....looking good for you. :)

Yes exactly. We seem to go up or down every year. Actually I think that it will be very tough to get promoted this year. Achi Nazereth with Grayeb, Emola, Bokoli (!!), etc. are IMHO the class of the league and will win promotion. That leaves 5 teams to fight for only one spot. Our defense looks a bit weak to allow me to believe that we will be that team. Maybe....

Most of our fans think that we should sell Yona instead of Azu. In fact we are willing to give him away for free ;)
