wood..........Jozy............Morris

Pulisic.........Bradley........sacha

fabian....Brooks....Omar.......Yedlin

..................Howard

i bet we r gonna use this formation(We had this formation at copa)

wood , morris , yedlin and pulisic should be a handful for mexico...they r fast and ultra aggressive.

Jozy , bradley and brooks are in good form....mexicans dont do well against fast , aggressive players.

bring it

No idea what Johannsson is doing there but the pickings up front as slim anyway. Stanko is also a strange one too, there are better players in MLS and even Kitchen is better but he won't play anyway. They will probably try to cap-tie Vickers, but it wont be easy against Mexico/Costa Rica unless they have a lead late and put him in

stanko has been starting for his swiss team..im not sure if hes playin well or not. I think klins doesnt rate kitchen. Johannson is better than wondo. He is getting back into shape...hell be ready as a sub

I like this team...young players wanna impress and r hungry. I think they will do well.

Takeaways from the U.S. World Cup qualifying roster: Time for new blood to step up

Takeaways from the U.S. World Cup qualifying roster: Time for new blood to step up

Jurgen Klinsmann isn't about to trot out a team full of youngsters to take on Mexico and Costa Rica in World Cup qualifying next week, but what the U.S. national team coach will be hoping for after calling in so many young players is to have one or two of them rise to the challenge during an intense week of training ahead of Friday's showdown with Mexico.

Landon Donovan is long gone and Clint Dempsey is on the sidelines for the foreseeable future, and their absences for the latest installment of USA-Mexico should be seen as the signaling of a new chapter in the rivalry. That chapter needs new characters, and we just might see some youngsters jump into the role of leading men.

Christian Pulisic is the leading candidate to take on a key role for the U.S. Though he is just 18, his outstanding form for Borussia Dortmund has made all concerns about over-hyping him or rushing him along seem silly. He has stepped up in one of the world's best leagues and looked right at home. The list of U.S. players who can currently make such a claim is extremely short.

As for Carter-Vickers, he isn't likely to get a look, but as an 18-year-old who has made the bench for English Premier League power Tottenham, he is considered one of the brightest prospects in the U.S. national team pipeline. The call-up does feel a bit like a preemptive move, to help ward off potential interest from England, which Carter-Vickers is eligible for. He won't be needed in the upcoming qualifiers though, not even with Cameron sidelined. His day is coming though, and it shouldn't be too long before Carter-Vickers is facing Mexico in big matches.

Geoff Cameron's knee trouble couldn't have come at a worse time for Jurgen Klinsmann. Mexico and Costa Rica both boast dangerous strikers, and while there are some decent replacement options, the drop-off could prove costly.

this is prolly the lineup v mexico. This is a big game for sacha. Jozy is in great form so hell start. Chandler is having a very good season in the bundesliga and so is Yedlin ...its gonna be interesting whos gonna start at RB.

Brooks and Pulisic are our best players right now. They r doing very well in the bundesliga....Morris is a deadly weapon to have coming off the bench.

Bedoya:yawn:

Omar plays in mexico so he knows dem mexicans well

Cameron Carter Vickers could be next US Soccer star after being named in Jurgen Klinsmann squad - ESPN FC

Already making waves in the Bundesliga and Champions League, Christian Pulisic is the great hope for U.S. soccer but Jurgen Klinsmann's latest squad includes another future star: Tottenham's Cameron Carter-Vickers. The 18-year-old centre-back was named in the 26-man group for the U.S.'s World Cup qualifiers against Mexico and Costa Rica, continuing his rapid route to international football, and Klinsmann will consider giving him a senior cap to end interest from England.

Carter-Vickers has been fast-tracked through the U.S. youth system -- at 16, he represented the Under-23s and he was one of his country's best players at last summer's U-20 World Cup -- but he was born in Southend-on-Sea to an English mother and until he plays for the U.S. senior side, he could yet be poached by England.

Klins cap tied brooks and hes now one of the best centerbacks in germany. Vickers is one of our best young talents we have...So klins is trying to cap tie him now...I dont blame it. Vickers could end up being good...who knows

It is believed that both Liverpool and a German club, reportedly Bundesliga newcomers RB Leipzig, made offers for Pulisic over the summer but these were swiftly rebuffed as Dortmund remain eager to hold onto their exciting prospect.

The teenager is already tied down to the Bundesliga club until 2019, however director of sport Michael Zorc claimed that “because of his development the club is ready to speak to him to prolong his contract at any time."

“There have been some offers for him in the summer window from England and from German clubs, but we would like to have him here and develop him here,” Zorc told Sports Illustrated. “We did not educate him to sell him.”

Its good. He should stay there for ahwile
