I cant believe that Helsinborg just played 0-0 against the russians i liked it. I heard the president of the club saying that it would be good to play Inter so they can earn money and big income from the fans unbeliveble to say so. Most europeans teams invest to come into the groups and only think to come into the groups Helsinborg just wants some money and then dont care about going trough . Missery i say Swedish club football is a joke only AIK has some european routes and invest money as for Helsinborg i hope they crush away to the russians.

I agree with you that Helsingborg is a shame for Swedish soccer. After investing to be a good team for several years they finally win the championship and qualify for the money prestigious champions league, they start to sell off their skilful players for coffee money. Then they appoint a manger that has achieved nothing but getting relegated a couple of times. They replace their stars with player from Öster, Sirius and Trelleborg and struggling in this season with five loses already. And then this, 0-0 against a team from Belarus, a D-class European nation. It’s a Shame.

the question is why helsingborg is not investing, all the good players are sold and they are not signing new ones, aik solna must be one of few good teams in sweden, they are signing new players all the time.....

even bk häcken, what do you mean with that?
häcken is one of the worst teams in sweden......
aik is the only good team for the moment, the other are loooooosers, even bk häcken

You're way out of line, Recoba and nasty n. Te swedish team aren't a shame for swedish football. They're just poor. Poor clubs, victims of a time when money is more important than club loyalty and investments in the youth teams.

Recently some paper wrote that we've got 111 players playing in the european leauges. We can safely assume that at least 70% of them would have been quite sure of a place in a swedish first divison (Allsvenskan) team. On what level had the italian or brittish clubs been playing, had half of their first division played in foreign leauges? Obviously on a higher level than the swedish teams, but any CL triumphs would probably have been out of the question...

I hope Gnagets investments pays off - let's hope that Andreas and KĂĄmark recovers fast ("Judas" Lucic, on the other hand...) and that AIK can hold the swedish colours high in Europe in a couple of years... until IFK once again is ready to conquer the continent.

just as you sais,if all the swedes abroad would play in "allsvenskan" it would be very entertaining, some teams are ok but when you see teams like häcken, elfsborg, sundsvall and gais it isnt fun anymore, sweden have 3-4 good teams the rest are craps.
i hope some team can make it in europe, but it will be difficult:(
ifk göteborg dominated the swedish football scene for many years and beat huge clubs like man utd milan and barca but it wont happen again, these teams have become too $$$$$rich
and now when they can sign how many foreigners they want they are in advantage....
ifk had mostly of the great swedes playing in sweden in their team some years ago(ravelli,erlingmark,blomqvist,lucic,kåmark,björklund.a.anderssson etc)now they are old and gone or playing abroad, teams like aik and halmstad have also great players now,and if they are selling some players they are not selling them to ifk.....
thats one of the reasons why swedish football isn that good anymore.
one other reason is that the teams are poor, and the arenas are small, look at kalmars arena,it was a joke......
sorry but swedish footbalöl has a long way to go yet....

I´m a fan of Häcken, but I know they suck. As every team in Sweden. Häcken would be pretty bad,not totally bad, if it wasn´t for that really bad goalkeeper Joakim Olsson. How many bloopers has he done so far? 20? It is so fun, when you look at "Fotbollskväll" and see how crappy swedish players are. It´s hilariuos.

As nasty nick writing the gap between the Swedish teams and the big European teams has widening.
To succeed in a European competition is simply harder now then it was a couple of years ago because the new “champions league” allow more teams from greater countries. Not even Rosenborg seems to be competitive anymore.

Swedish soccer is club- feeling, nothing more. Almost nobody views a match just for the entertaining purpose.
I saw AIK vs IFK Göteborg yesterday and it were boring as a Kevin Costner movie (Congratulation to the well-earned victory Totte).

Besides the worst part of “Fotbollskväll” is Tomas Wernersson. I haven’t met a person who thinks that boring besserwisser is a good commentator and who on earth on SVT hired him and on what basis.

Of course you guys are right - compared to Europe, swedish football really IS crap. And the gap IS widening - we will have to wait a long time for our next success (obviously I do NOT think IFK will conquer any continent...).

I think we WILL have moments of glory in the future, though. And I hope it is AIK who is next in line: they are the ones who at least tries to compete with Europe in signing good players. AIK:s team now is quite similar to the one IFK had some years ago. Unfortunatly, they've - as we all know - had problems with injuries, and today being as competitive as Änglarna was just ain't enough. Just like Sandbergo said, the CL allows to many great teams today.

I also must say I stick with Sandbergo in his view that swedish football is very much about club feeling. Watching Serie A every sunday makes you wanna cry when you go to an Allsvenskan game. But one thing is very, very important to me, and that is:

Football shouldn't be watched, it should be experienced. You should feel the atmosphere, hear the crowd and - maybe most important - see all the field of play. Every possible way to run or player to pass a ball to. TV can never offer these possibilities. I guess that's why I stick with IFK and Allsvenskan.

I wonder what You think about the ruling Swedish league winners and their chances against Inter Milan in the Champions League???
Do they have ANY chances at all to defeat one of the best clubs in the world???
I mean Allbäck  vs. Sükür
Could the outcome be more predictable, or is this a David against Goliath situation :confused::confused:

recoba is right helsingborgs chances are just as big as saddam hussein becoming president of the united states!!!
with other words, inter will crash their bones very hard!!
allbäck vs hakan sukur,keane,recoba,pirlo,zamorano,biakolo(he's awesome):D ;)

Slim

If you only see at the hom egame they have a lsight chance of winning. Underestimating (by Inter) and hard work is the key for Helsingborg.

I remember just some years ago when Halmstad beat Parma 3-0 at home! But then again they lost 4-0 away. that showed what underestimating can do.

I actually thought that HIF wouldn't make it, but it seems that Inter haven't learn on the misstakes that Parma made some years ago, DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE YOUR OPPONENT !!!!
But I think that Inter will give everything in the match at San Siro and Helsingborg will be without chance.
But of course Inter have to score, and that's twice to beat Helsingborg ;)
And Swedes know how to defend them selves, BUT, I still doubt that Helsingborg can make it.
But if they, against all odds should make it, it would be very important for swedish and perhaps also for Scandinavian football :)
I mean after succes for teams like Odense, Rosenborg and Göteborg in Europe this could be the breakthrough Nordic football has been waiting for

Quoting Bolivian coach before the match against Brazil in the qualification match for WC 94:
"They are also humans, I mean they have a head and two legs, just like us." :D

Perhaps that was what Helsingborgs coach said before the match against Inter yesterday???

#21 ·
PS.

Recoba, I admitt that I also think Helsingborg is a crap team, but that "crap team" just defeated your Inter, but in the second match I DO think Inte will be INTER :D:p:D

Nasty, perhaps Saddam can become president of the states after all :):p:)

#22 ·
**** helsingborg but forza saddam!!

#25 ·
Guys,
Why are you saying Allbäck vs. alots of guys????
He dont even play for Helsingborg.

#26 ·
Sorry, my fault, I always mix up Allbäck with Helsingborg because HIF has a simular match dress to Örgryte, so a correction from me :( Marcus Allbäck plays in Örgryte IS
Again I humbly apolagize for this huge misstake!!!
