Supercopa match kicks off late this season, unusually after the start of La Liga this season and yes we are starting another war of CLASICOS and it all begins next Thursday in the Camp Nou.

Last visit to the Camp Nou was vital last season, winning for the first time there since Mou joined also confirming that we are La Liga champions with 8 points difference, things changed with the rival as Pep Guiardiola has resigned leaving the job to his assistant Tito Vilanova who last season got involved in the famous finger incident with Jose, they started the campaign with easy win against Sociedad 5-1, and they look good with Messi at his top and Villa back, with Alba and Song getting in as new signings.

Real didn't have the best start after a draw against Valencia, also Pepe was injured after colliding with Casillas and spent last night in the ICU and looks certainly out, which means Albiol getting the nod:thmbdown:, Sami should be ready to get back in the starting XI instead of Lass and Benzema is favorite ahead of Pipita IMO.

Barca players seems motivated for the occasion, lets go and destroy them again !! HALA MADRID!!

Casillas
Arbeloa-Ramos-Albiol-Coenterao
Khedira- Alonso
Angelito-Ozil-CR7
Benzema

Valdes
Alves-Mascherano-Pique-Alba
Busquets-Xavi- Iniesta
Sanchez-Messi- Fabregas

This season we didn't start well. Maybe physically we are not fit. Missing Pepe in Supercopa is not something good. After we broke series of wins last match in Camp Nou, again, we have problems: physically not fit, Pepe maybe will be out, disappointing match with Valencia has a influence to damage us in psychological aspect.

But at all, I think that Mourinho know how to motivate the players for a good result in Camp Nou. Good start against Barcelona is a very crucial.

Marca reporting Pipita will start over Benzema again, I don't think so.

also, since Pepe joined he missed 4 Classicos we didnt win any of them actually.

Pepe has been one of Madrid's best players in recent clasicos and the stats show. Even in the infamous 5-0 at the Camp Nou, Pepe was the best player in white on the pitch, he'll surely be missed on Thursday.

I'd rather the "regular" 11 that beat Barcelona at the Camp Nou start, except ofcourse Pepe.

Casillas
Arbeloa - Ramos - Albiol - Marcelo
Khedira - Alonso
Di Maria - Ozil - Ronaldo
Benzema

Madrid in recent times performs best when we're underdogs, and from last weeks results, the expectations are really low for Madrid, I predict a 2-1 win for Real at the Camp Nou.

Albiol would definitely play, he is not as good as Varane but this is the perfect match to prove how useful or not he is, if he flops badly he'll probably start fewer matches this season than he did last season.

From the respect of rivalry I say good luck and good wish. Maybe the best man win (Messi).

Last session before the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup

Real Madrid took part in the second session of the week at Valdebebas and the last before travelling to Barcelona to play tomorrow's leg of the Spanish Super Cup (22:30 La1). Coach José Mourinho organised a session in which ball work and fitness work featured equally as they prepared for the clash in a session which included academy players Fabinho and Nacho.

Real Madrid completed the last session before playing Barcelona in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup. José Mourinho divided his players into two groups on the field at Valdebebas. One group contained the outfield players and the other had the goalkeepers.

Ramos, Varane, Albiol, Arbeloa, Coentrão, Marcelo, Lass, Xabi Alonso, Khedira, Sahin, Granero, Kaká, Özil, Callejón, Di María, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Higuaín, Morata, Nacho and Fabinho were the 21 outfield players with Mourinho. To begin with they performed stretching and muscle strengthening exercises under the direction of assistant coach Rui Faria and later went on to work with the ball. Casillas, Adán and Jesús worked on specifics with goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro.

Gotta love Pepe and his commitment for the team, but Mou confirmed that he's not playing, Albiol to start good news that he will be back next Sunday against Getafe.

I dont think I've had this little motivation for a Classico since whenever. And it is not because I fear a loss...I think after the 2-2 at the Camp Nou in the Copa I lost the apprehension towards this Messi led Barca....just not super psyched....maybe because it is only the Supercopa or maybe because the season barely started.

Either way the prospect of Albiol doesn't encourage me much at all. I just hope Lass is not starting ahead of Khedira, I suppose a scoring draw would be best althought unlikely as they seem on better form.

They are playing the first leg at home and is Tito's first classico in charge - they will likely be feeling more pressure than us.

We have enough quality to win the game and any psychological barriers should have been overcome with the last win. Just need the boys to press well and the defence to hold up.

I'm going for 3-1 Barca.
That CB pairing not inspiring, plus Ozil has a tendency to disappear meaning that CM is way overworked.
