Is the Pellè deal 100% done now? I thought it was, but I'm seeing reports of us being close to sealing the deal, which implies it's not all signed. I'm not the most enthusiastic about him coming, tbh.

Also, there are louder noises about Borini coming to Parma re-surfacing.

 

Oh, also I thought C. Lucarelli had another year to run on his current deal? (Not that he'd stay in any case.)

Just read an interview of Preiti. It was mostly about transfers of next summer. I'll try to pick most interesting parts of it.

About Pereyra he said that they are working hard to find an agreement and closing the deal. Also mentioned Aguirregaray on that answer by just saying that Parma is interested in him, but nothing's defined yet.

Apparently we are not singing Bonaventura. We haven't even shown any interest in him. Well, that 7,5m did sound a bit weird after all.

Then he said that Džemaili, Valiani, Galloppa and Palladino are staying and that Calvo is returning to Aris at the end of the season. Sounds good to me. I would try to sell Valiani, but maybe I can live with it that he's on the team.

Also talked about our youth program and developing players like De Vitis and Pereira to first team. We have consistently four or five youth players training with first team. Mentioned De Vitis, Ristovski, Čović and Defrel.

That interview really gave me a new found of believin', that we have a possibly really bright future ahead of us.

Meh, I really don't get the Pellè signing. It's almost like we need closure from it because we've tried to sign him for 2 or 3 summers straight now. He thinks he's better than he is and he's really not that good, tbh. Waste of money.

 

Two things:

Let get this season out of the way first, then we focus on next year.

Second: Valiani. I think he is a great player. His ability to play on both flanks, at both full backs or in the centre is very handy. Also, there is a very strong chance he will be around next year considering he was managed under Colomba at Bologna last year.

He can play everywhere but imo he has no function. He's not a good passer, he's not a good dribbler, he's not a good crosser. All he can do is run.

 

So true. But what I don't get is, how come he could reach the level of serie a despite being shit at practically everything? It's amazing. I should've ran more when I was playing so they'd see me bust my ass off and I'd probably con everybody into thinkin I have a future as a footballer.

 

He's good defensively. That's the point of him. He works hard, is strong in the tackle, is very good off the ball (positions himself well defensively and moves well off the ball when we have it) and doesn't give up. He's an intelligent player. And that's partly because he's somewhat limited technically. He's never been blessed with the finest technical skills, so has had to adapt his game accordingly. I think you need a couple of players like him when you're giving others freedom or playing with others who like to have freedom, so good luck to him.

Valiani's a very useful player and Crespo's right, Valiani probably has just as much assists this season as anyone else.

To move in Juventus wasn't good for he's career and this season hasn't done very well if we look statistics but I vbelieve he's quality is enough to Parma and he would bring competition to positions in midfield.

IMO, our central midfield is OK unless someone is going to significantly improve the position then I don't see the point of signing an OK 30 year old.

Morrone? Almost everyone here say he's bad player, if you read read Game threads beginning of the season. Morrone is fighter but nothing else, with ball he have nothing to give Parma, I don't see him a starter. We also have Valiani who is useless.

In my eyes Dzemaili is overrated in this forum. Games what I saw this season he didn't play well. He should be primus motor in the midfield but we see it only few games in a whole season. If player plays more bad than good games it's hard to make winning team. That's only my opinion.

 

Fighters are nice to have in a squad. I always loved Bolano & likewise with Morrone. Just the type of player I like.

 

I agree too. We do need fighters in the squad. Just that we cannot have the whole midfield of fighters. For Morrone's case, he just needs to win the ball and make a simple pass to another player who can do more with the ball. I guess making simple passes shouldn't be too difficult to execute.

I had initially hoped that Bojinov would be our new Crespo but it seems that his personal problems and complete absence of footballing ability have scuppered that. Maybe we could send him out on loan somewhere?

As far as Candreva goes, his attitude disgusts me and therefore he has no place in Parma.

 

Preziosi says he is close to signing Ribas so we can count him out and apparently Inter are close to signing Aguirregaray. Not all that suprised even if there's the possibility Aguirregaray could end up here for a few seasons on co-ownership.

There was also a piece on Real Madrid being interested in Amauri..

 

One player I would like to sign is Pasqual of Fiorentina. Rumour that he could leave this season and in a 4-4-2 he would be slightly more offensive minded than Modesto but can also play at LB.

Between the three of Gobbi, Modesto and Pasqual we would have that side well stocked. Pasqual would be the most useful offensively as he is a very good crosser of the ball which would be ideal if we had someone like Amauri or Borini making forward runs.

I'm sure we could pick up his co-ownership for a couple of million.

 

For LB, (from TMW, so take it for what it's worth) ... we are interested in 29 yr old, Maxwell, from Barca. Obviously would be a nice option for us.

I would prefer Pasqual though. Seems the type of player to fit our project.

We're also tracking in 21 year old German, Marco Hoger from Alemannia Aachen.

 

Maxwell's agent is Raiola though, and I'm not sure if I want him anywhere near this club

 

Maxwell would be a great signing for us. However, I really do not see it happening, a typical rumour for this time of the year.

Realistically we need 3 strikers for next year. Bojinov hopefully will be sold, Crespo may well retire and Amauri is only on loan. My three would be Borini, Amauri and Ribas.
