Well, last game before our winter break. We're playing one of our rivals Trabzonspor away. It's going to be very tough, not only because they have a semi decent squad but becuase they don't really like us these days. Fans will chant like crazy and objectively 1 point from this game is not bad at all.

Of course, we're going for 3 points. Our team is full of morale, we're leading by 2 points in front of Besiktas and we're doing great in Europe. Our players are getting their form back and win here would seal a very successful first half of the season.

Terim will probably stick to the same game plan and line up:

Fernando Muslera
Emanuel Eboue - Semih Kaya - Dany Noncheaku - Albert Riera
Hamit Altintop - Felipe Melo - Selcuk Inan - Nordin Amrabat
Umut Bulut - Burak Yilmaz

Both of our strikers and Selcuk are ex Trabzonspor players so they'll be under immense pressure. If we score an early goal we might be able to have an easier game then we think. Felipe Melo once again will be instrumental as well as our left side with Riera.

Good luck to our boys, let's finish this half of the season like we should!

Fener are 1-3 down with 10 minutes to go. If we win tomorrow the gap will be 8 points. BJK and Antalya lack the quality to keep it up, 1-2 good transfers could make this a very, very succesful season.

Pitiful Championship / Greek Superleague 31/32 year-old reject LuaLua raped Fener :howler:

LuaLua raped us as well though, so it's not a smart line.

Yeah, win tomorrow would put us in a wonderful spot. Imagine someone telling you that at the end of the first half you'll be 5 point leader and qualify from the CL group. That would probably be the best case scenario for every Galatasaray fan. It's about to happen if we keep doing smart things.

One or two transfers and good start in Ferbruary will surely put us in the best place and secure the tittle for this season as well. But Turkey being Turkey, everything can change in just 3 games so we'll have to keep our minds focused and legs ready.

Our opponents lack our quality and cohesion, let's hope they keep it up.

I said at the start of the last season that GS would win the league in the next 2-3 season by a double digit points margin. My mates thought I was crazy!

Maybe a bold statement but as it stands....I'm not far off. GS would have won the league after 34 games by 9pts.

I'm even more convinced that GS will win the league by 10pts or more. Yobo will be gone for the African Nations Cup. GS can mask the absence of Eboue more easily than FB can for Yobo. It looks like GS will make some improvements in the transfer window.

Also, FB will (most likely) play an extra round in the Europa by the time GS play the 2nd leg of their last 16 game in the CL. To add to that....FB will play extra games in the Turkish Cup.

All those extra games will tire FB out and every extra game you play increases the chance of players getting injured.

Mark my words, GS will win the league by more than 10pts.

May 2014 couldn't come any sooner, I might pre-order my kit now

But Trabzon are going to be hyped for this game, as much as we are, since Fener's collapse tonight...it'll be a tough game IMO.

It's just too early to talk about any of that.

Plus, we really can't replace Eboue. Sabri is a retard who will cost us a game whenever he plays, or at least a goal. His attacking skills are limited as well. Other than that, we're losing Amrabat as well.

I think we are the favorites now, but shit changes very fast. We need to be careful.

Kocaman quits.

Now we have ourselves an opponent.

I would try Hamit at RB as the first option. But if it comes to a scenario where Sabri is used....I don't think it would be the disaster outcome people are making it out to be. I feel Terim can get him to play well (he did perform well under Terim in the past, for both GS and the National Team). Also, this looks like it might be Sabri's last season at GS as it stands. He would be playing for his future at the club.

That is some motivation for a player to perform.

True, but Sabri often fukks up when he tries to play an overly expansive game. If Terim can keep him to a role where he defends more than he attacks (and thus gets caught out of position), I think he can do a job for GS.

In any case....it doesn't look like GS has an unlimited number of options at RB. It is either Hamit or Sabri while Eboue is gone. People might as well get behind them both and give them a chance.

If Ujfa was healthy already, that'd be a no brainer.

I honestly think we will win this without any trouble, just a feeling I've got, I like to think I'm usually right in those situations.

Regarding the African Cup of Nations and the soon to be absence of Eboue and Amrabat; I don't think we'll cope as well. Sabri could be good as RB for a couple of games but I think we're better of having Hamit there. Then we need a replacement for both the right-left side of midfield. So we'll see more of Colak (LM) and Engin/Aydin (RM). But then there's no replacements for those players? I think too much in these situations, hopefully we survive that period of time.

My prediction: Galatasaray 2-0 Trabzonspor

Same XI as against Fenerbahce.

Muslera, Eboue, Semih, Dany, Riera, Hamit, Selcuk, Melo, Amrabat, Burak, Umut

#19 ·
Easy? I don't remember the last time we bean anyone easily :)

Rain is pouring, just what we needed.

Game is just about to start, good luck to our boys.

Trabzon's XI in case anyone wondered:

Onur Recep Kıvrak, Emerson, Celustka, Giray Kaçar, Serkan Balcı, Sapara, Zokora, Olcan Adın, Adrian, Henrique, Halil Altıntop

#21 ·
Senol insists on not playing Colman and Janko. Henrique and Halil are joke of forwards...

#23 ·
Trabzon started off decent. 7th minute, 0-0.

#24 ·
Serkan's a kiro.

#25 ·
Umut is a ****ing joke. I hate this idiot forward version of Mustafa Sarp. Could've costed us a goal.

#26 ·
Shouda passed to the left, not to Burak...Was it Selcuk? Not good decision.

#27 ·
Amrabat could've passed it anywhere, to 3 partners who were superbly positioned, but no, he held the ball like a retard and took a selfish shot which didn't even reach the goal, was deflected.

#29 ·
Amrabat made the inch perfect pass to Hamit for that chance a few minutes back. Give the guy a chance. He's been playing well of late.

GS have created more than Trabzon. GS look lively down the wings with Hamit and Amrabat. Have been a bit unlucky/encountered good defence from Trabzon in the final balls from the wings.

#28 ·
We can't have such amateurs on our team. This is Bank Asya level by some of our players.

#30 ·
Hamit plays really well, but he's not a typical out-and-out winger, I wish we had someone extra up front instead of Umut and Amrabat to capitalize on it...

#32 ·
Muslera ****ed up but did well at the rebound, the rebound was offside, though...
