Ronnie-Milan, be careful

The colleagues, and friends, about Catalunya Ràdio spoke on Monday night with Ferran Soriano and the economic vice-president of the Barcelona, between other many things, notices about Ronaldinho's renovation. In the conversation it turned out evident that the Barça wants to reinforce its bows of union with the crack but, at the same time, there is no hurry to sign a new document.

The case is that while it happened in Barcelona, in Italy, at the same hour, the rotary ones of the Gazzetta dello Sport they were printing hundreds of thousands of diaries with Ronaldinho heading its front page. Once again, the interest of the Milan was reflected to any rag by the star blaugrana. In his friend Kaká was inviting him to be happy in Italy and the diary Roberto de Assis-Berlusconi was reporting also of an imminent meeting to design the strategy that was making possible similar operation.

To prompt boat, with two information in the hand and knowing the intricate thing that is the world of the football, it would be necessary to suppose that the brother and manager of the player - before the calmness blaugrana - he might have used to the Italian ones to put hurry and fear of the Barça. Nevertheless, thinking it well, it is impossible that of so immediate form a reply could be prepared so quickly

On the other hand, among what he says the Barça, at which the Gazzetta aims and what they tell us, also might conclude that the Milan goes much more seriously than could seem. First because the buyout clause of Ronaldinho - is of 125 or of 80 million Euros - it is not an insurmountable problem for Berlusconi and second because while in Spain and in Brazil Ronnie is supporting hard criticizes , in Milan offers to him the fondness that, in these cases, the players need: unconditional surrender to his talent and, especially, a much better contract of the one that has in the Barcelona.

And slightly more. It is possible that Berlusconi and Galliani still have not said at all to Laporta, but it is sure that Roberto already knows what the Milan would pay his brother to him.. and to him. Be careful, because though Ronnie wants to remain, that wishes it, not always one plays where he wants.

I'm still calm about it. I just hope that they put a fix buyout clause to keep the control on the player, to decide if we want to sell Ronnie or not and to decide his destiny, if that's the case.

I don't think Milan will pay his crazy buyout clause now and I don't think Ronnie is going to make a boycott. Maybe his brother wants whatever, but Ronnie seems happy here.

In any case, even if he leaves, Barça existed before Ronnie and will keep existing after him.

Yes we could have another key player, but Ronnie is a gem.

"the new deal fixes the buy out clause at 125 million for the duration of the agreement and allows for a further two-year extension beyond 2010 if both parts are in agreement."

This is his last contract, so he does have a fixed buy-out clause.

Why are you guys all being paranoia? If Milan offers €125.000.000 then they can have him!

Yeah, that's the thing. 125M and it's for them. In any case, we don't want to be fighting with Ronaldinho.

We also have to know that Ronnie wants an extension... something that starts pissing me off. I'd tell him: "we'll start talking after the games against Sevilla, Chelsea and Madrid". If Ronnie wants something, he has to earn it on the pitch.

IMHO:

It's just a smokescreen to distract the public from a serious issue: this guy is getting THE FOURTH CONTRACT IN THE FOURTH YEAR. Talking about Milan interest assures that barcelonista public will swallow this without asking to many questions. That's how it went:

...............wage................buy-out......duration
2003.......3m+bonuses.........100m......until 2008
2004.......4.8m+bonuses......150m.......?
2005.......8.5m+bonuses......125m.......until2010
2006 we'll have to wait a week or two

Barcoslav has a good point, you don't see Eto'o re-negotiate his contract every year, and in terms of value he is on the same level as Ronaldinho.

Ronaldinho's image took a hit after a poor World Cup, his poor start to the season, missing training sessions and going to promotional events, I really don't think he is in a position to demand a wage increase, tell him to pull his socks up first and then come back and talk about a contract. :rollani:

His brother just wants the usual pay-day, so if I were Barca I would try to gain control of the situation. Ronaldinho IMO does not look as hungry and focused as he has been for the last few seasons.

Even though Berlusconi got the money and can easily pay such an amount, but there's no way on earth that Milan would pay 125m euros for one single player even if it's Ronaldinho or Maradona!

The team (Milan) lacks more than Ronaldinho to be back to the top.. Yes it will be a huge coup for the image of Milan and marketting wise.. But there are needs for lots of other players as well.. And Berlusconi haven't been really spending for several years..

But there could be some truth.. But no way 125m..

He doesn't deserve ANOTHER contract increase. That's it. Laporta should tell his jackass brother to **** off, plain and simple. He's on a contract that runs for what, another 2-3 years? Deal with new contract talk in 2 years. There is no justification whatsoever for another pay raise, particularly when Ronaldinho already makes like £12 million a year with all his contracts and promotional earnings, and also won't give us a touch of image rights money.

Ribery already has a pre-contract agreement to sign for Arsenal.
Really?

Damn, I never read anything about that.

Please don't talk to me about Ronnie and Ribery in the same sentence.

if we lose Ronnie, 10 Riberys won't make me feel the same.

Ribery is brave, but never he could be Ronnie

Messi is 10 times better than Ribery

Read exactly what I said and don't just skim through it!

"Btw, aside from all these rumours and regardless if Dinho stays or goes [Hopefully he stays], I really hope Barca will go after Ribery next summer!"

Finished reading?

Where did I compare Dinho to Ribery or said he's a replacement?

The names Ronnie and Ribery were in the same sentence so I wrote my own opinion that 10 Riberys would not fill the void left by Ronnie.

That is only my opinion and you can take it or leave it, I don't really care either way.

And how would Ribery arrive, where would he play? Someone would have to leave and if it was Ronnie, I would be less than thrilled by that swap.

Again, that's my own opinion.

I have to agree with VBI and Barcoslav here. As much as i like him this is seriously getting ridiculous.

I mean for how long are we gonna give him an annual improved contract? He probably knows better than anyone else that we're not in such a comfortable financial situation to afford giving him a pay-rise everytime.
He already earns tons of money so the least he can do is show some commitment to the club by just extending his contract or giving a percentage of his right image.

Ribery latest: Now he's not joining Arsenal

PARIS, Oct 11 (Reuters) - France midfielder Franck Ribery will not be joining Arsenal in the January transfer window, Olympique Marseille chairman Pape Diouf said on Wednesday.

'I had already said he would not leave during the close season and he did not,' Diouf told the Ligue 1 club's website.

'I can say today that he will not leave during the winter break either,' he added dismissing British media reports.

'It's too early to say what will happen after that but our sporting goals are more important than media speculation.'
