Over-react much, anyone? Eto'o has made a mistake. The only other time he made a similar mistake, he apologised the next day, something certain others have yet to do.

He deserves to be punished for what IS an out of character reaction, not ****ing hanged.

Okay, Eto'o spitted on a rival and that's a mistake, but you don't know what the Athletic player was telling him either... it doesn't matter, it's not such a big deal, the last minutes were very tense, it's not the first time that 2 teams fight on the pitch and you don't have to go to far to see what happened in the RM-Osasuna... ah, and as far as I know, Deco or Eto'o didn't break the ankle of a rival to laugh at him later, as someone we all know... Now if Deco and Eto'o have to be punished, then it's okay. But I understand it as part of the tension of a game. Deco will get one game, I guess, because he was provoked after all. Probably, Eto'o will get some more, but I still want to see the image again, because it wasn't very clear what was going on there.

But it's much worse what Clemente did, using racist remarks in the press conference after the game, because he doesn't have the excuse of the tension of the game. Clemente should get a strong punishment... but my bet is that nothing will happen. It's a shame.

Just saw highlights as I was too hung over to go watch the match today. :googly: Anyway, looks like it was a rough affair today with alot of incidents, nothing new when Barca and Athletic play. These incidents could and should have been avoided as it doesn't look good when our players lose their heads. No excuses for that. Oh well, in the heat of battle such things can happen. As long as we won and our winning streak continues I can forgive our players for making mistakes, they're only human. And what's with these Merengue vultures and their silly remarks?? Go suck on your thumbs boys and girls and don't let the door hit you in the aarse on the way out. :finger:
