Funny how time changes isn't it?

Few weeks/months ago you were laughing at Ronaldo being fat, seems Ronaldinho is following the legend's footsteps :proud:

That is seriously disturbing.....i did get the feeling that he 'looked' less agile this year, but I thought that was just because he changed from white to black shoes....come on man, get your act together!!

Don't think anyone can be surprised at this, it was obvious that he was heavier than he used to be, mostly by the way he doesn't go past people nowadays, he looks less agile, and frankly spends more time whining and lying on the grass that doing anything productive.

I think if this hit the press and he got into the news, and fans started asking question, we'll see a statment from the club about what he is doing in the training and the gym daily!!

this is unacceptble from the player, he should be delt with by the club and president, I can't believe what I'm seeing, as if he is 35 years old player in the 2nd picutre and showing his 24th yeard old picture to see what was and what became!!?

Ronaldinho  shame! :fero:

It's on the front page of a Catalan daily rather than a sports paper. That's where the transition sequence is from.
I watched the match again last night on TV and realised that he combined a few moments of the old Roni, with the quick free kicks and excellent vision (at these moments you wish the rest were on his wavelength) and just running into loads of players and falling on the floor - sometimes fouled sometimes not.

Sometimes it really takes a photo to drive home the message that your shape isnt as good as you percieve in the mirror. This has happened to myself in my early training career and the mind is a funny thing. You think you are looking better and even looking in a mirror confirms this. When you have a picture taken and actually analyse it, that isnt the case.

I think when he sees the comparison shots plastered over the Spanish and Catalan press he will think something along the lines of "wow, I really have got out of shape". Hes an intelligent guy and Im sure from this he will get back into shape, with the access to nutritional and training minds he must have he can easily do it in 4-6 weeks.

That's photoshopped! :howler:

But seriously, this is unacceptable from Roni. The staff must have seen this a long time ago, and them not doing anything about it is just as unacceptable.

I hope we replace our fitnesstaff after this season and that Laporta seriously thinks twice before sending our boys on a USA-tour where they spend more time on the plane then on the pitch. If we keep doing this we'll lose everything, the team won't win any titles which means: less income and less fans around the world. This will lead to the tours not bringing in anymore money and it's just a spiral leeding us further away from the top.

Laporta, Rijkaard, everybody; ACT!

Barcelona concerns over fatty Ronaldinho
tribalfooball.com - February 23, 2007

Doubts are being raised over the weight of Barcelona star Ronaldinho.
The World Player of the Year is clearly carrying extra baggage and AS says he has already confided to close friends: "I am not well."

Barcelona physios and medical chief, Dr Ricardo Puna, refuse to speak to the media about Ronaldinho's increasing waistline, while the local press are comparing his situation with what Ronaldo went through at Real Madrid.

Stress, partying and outside commercial interests are all being blamed for Ronaldinho's weight problems, which are now affecting his form.

he's not too fat but rather he was why too skinny...

comes down to conditioning..

There is an article in MD that says the problem of the squad is physical and it all goes back to the unfocused preseason the players had after the world cup fatigue (in particular Ronaldinho). He does have that shape of a body that adds weight pretty easily I think.

Hehe, me too. But he did show good agility against Villarreal remember? And those extra pounds didn't stop him from being in the best scoring form of his career. Imagine what a few weeks of intensive training could do.

That is the root of our problem we need to train intensly instead of other commitments getting to the team. If we want to be the best no matter how good you all ready are you need to put the hours in on the pitch.

from sport

Debería ser Rijkaard más duro con los jugadores en los entrenamientos?
(Should Rijkaard i last more with the players in the training?)

Si 89%
No 11%

**** them in trainings Frank:scream:

Once again Ronaldinho stayed in the gym today:wallbang:
