On behalf of the first country that qualified for the finals, you know that you've got my full support ;)

Multa bafta Romania!

Very difficult group, but make it a Netherlands-Romania at the Under 17 European Championships as well :pp

How is Sepsi going to play the U-21 and NT games? ;)

Ninu is 22 now isn't he?

They need LB's.

We have a old side right now.. for u-21

Maybe they should look into the 17-19 year olds and just re-build if we don't qualify.

If we do, as we should.

Then next year will be to rebuild.

And if we qualify, if he is 22, he can still play because he was 21 before the cometition started ;)

What I would do is bring in the 17 year olds and 18 year olds, let them grow together..

we may lose next year, but we can win it all the year after.

Latovlevici is 21, not sure when he's 22. thats why I didn't think of him, thought he was too old now.

Sorry Gica, on 2nd thought I'm not sure anymore that they were actually talking about the same Victor. So I changed my post, my apologies.

But then, when Dobrescu is playing for the Torino Primavera, why would he not be good enough for the Romania Under 19? They crashed out of the Euro qualifications in the first round.

But before you become angry that I might have made such a mistake, the sick boy is called Victor Dobrescu. So, my best wishes for him the same.

I don´t get it, where did you hear about a Victor Dobrescu sick of Cancer?

Are you sure these players aren´t in the youth NT´s? I think i saw Dobrescu´s name in a youth team. However, GICA is right, romanian youth teams usually get very bad results, even when they seem to have talented players. There isn´t enough importance given to them. Even the U-21 gets little attention, something that has slightly changed with the recent good form and results.

I thought that messy policy whas ancient history Gica. Didn't they change something the past years?

And it's not exactly that these guys are anonimous players that nobody knows of. They're taken away by foreign clubs because they are talents of international level. With a decent change of making a breakthrough. So then not selecting them and performing bad makes the whole FRF look bad, doesn't it? So they also hurt themselves that way.

Let's hope that they'll really solve this within the next years. We always made a mess of our youth NT's. And they were never there at final tournaments. Around 2000 (the year that I started to actively follow them ;) ) the Dutch FA changed that and ever since our NT's have performed very well and often reached final tournaments. Resulting in our current double European Under 21 crown:jester: And that's really useful for the development of players.

Otherwise, I'll do the FRF a favour and offer myself as Romanian Under 17 & Under 19 coach. Providing we don't meet Dutch NT's, we would get great results :dielaugh:

I've searched the qualification matches of the Romanian youth NT's at the Uefa site for the names of Dobrescu and Oanea, Rumaniac. Both were not in them. Oanea is a Under 17 player this year, Dobrescu Under 19 this year and Under 17 two years ago.

The Victor Dobrescu who has cancer, was received the past week by Dinamo. But this Victor Dobrescu is from Bucuresti, not from Oradea. And he had his 18th birthday last Friday (I guess that's why he was a guest at the training from Dinamo), while Victor Dobrescu the football player will turn 19 in May. But 2 Victor's Dobrescu who at this moment are both 18, and both have a link with football...;) So that's why I made the mistake.

Just google 'Victor Dobrescu' and you'll find the Toro player as well as the cancer victim and pics from his receival by the Dinamo players.

Here, I did the work for you ;)
