Well, what can I say ? Quite a disappointing game, we played well for some moments, then we go back to the ugly long balls and give away possession.
IMO Nakata should be brought on for a game like this, because his fast, direct and compact style would be more suitable for a game where space and time is very limited.
Montella should also be brought on earlier. As what I have noticed from the past few games, Capello don't really tend to use his bench as often as we see with other teams. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
Man Of The Match in my view is Tommasi (again ?!) he dominated the midfield and was on even ground with Davids winning alot of balls (maybe even better in my view as Tommasi was also very much involved in the offence).
As for Guigou, he was very much invisible today and I don't understand why Capello didn't substitute him with Assuncao or even worst for that position, Nakata.
Totti had quite a disappointing game (despite the fact that he has supplied 2 magic balls in the first half), in comparision with Zidane, I think Totti needs to mature his play a little (may sound a little harsh) but he tends to rush very much, as a playmaker he needs to learn how to control the rhythm of the game more. Another point is, Totti needs to sharpen his ball keeping skills, this would make alot of difference as from what I have observed today, Totti has lost a favourable position whenever he was hassled by a defender unlike Zidane who puts himself in a good position where he would easily distribute the ball.
On a good note, Totti has shown great vision on the field and this is very encouraging.
Lupatelli...what can I say ? Make him the number 1, he has alot of potential !
Afterall, a draw isn't all that bad as we're still 6 points ahead heading into X'mas.
