It's better to open a new thread for the possible trip to Austria/Switzerland. We could do our planning in here.

All right, refer to this thread for the beginning of the discussion: http://www.xtratime.org/forum/showthread.php?t=217780&page=13

So far, we have:

Toon (Possibly)
Eclipse (Possibly)
Arionesei
Lupi (Possibly)
Rumaniac (Possibly)
Gica (He didn't reply yet, but if he doesn't come, we'll go to Spain and drag him all the way to the Euro!)

Problems to solve:

- Tickets
- Money (Individual case)
- Transportation to Austria/Switzerland
- Transportation within Austria/Switzerland
- Housing
- Food
- Coordination to get all of us together at all the games we plan to assist

Let the (possible) journey begin

If I go it will most likely be with my Dad and our friends with the FRF. There definitely will be down time to meet up and hang out with each other but I don't think I'll be sharing housing or food etc.

As far as tickets go I'll ask Gabi when he returns from Luxembourg which should be in the next week or so. I'm almost 100% sure the FRF has tickets to sell to their fans.

Toon, we don't want any special favor from the FRF. We'd just like to legally buy some tickets (and as soon as possible). So, any info from you would be really appreciated.

For sure. what do you think the cost will be?

I make around 900$ canadian a month minimum..

I wna see if I can do that, a football trip to Scotland for tryouts, and Cruise with family.. It will be hard ;)

It's a bit too early to confirm. We're testing the ground for now. The most important thing would be to get the tickets for the group stage and further if we advance. Once we have that, it should go downhill.

What I'm worried about is shits going to cost like 4-5,000$
Plane approx 600-1200
Hotels- 500-700
Food probably 350-500
Tickets- no clue..
transportation- 100

max 2500 but i'm sure i'm forgetting things..

as far as i remember there are 2 ticket-sell-phases, one was already some months ago and one after the qualification (december or january...). there were 3 different types of tickets:

1. random game (group, 1/4, 1/2, final), you couldn't pick a team because you didn't know who will be at the Euros. you could get for example: game 2 from group D or a semi final (which was of course more expensive + the demand is bigger so less chances to get one).

2. follow your team (group): this one costed 240 € (a good price for 3 games imo), of course you get your money back if your team don't make it.

3. follow your team (tournament): this one costed something like 600 € (can't remember), you get money back if they get eliminated before the final.

i didn't participated in this lottery (i wanted the group tickets, whole tournament was too much money for me). chance of getting a ticket was 1:20, i was to lazy in the end to try out if i'm a lucky guy. :)

i guess it will be even harder to get a ticket in the 2nd selling phase. the best thing will be trying to get one from FRF...

if you guys have questions or need help just ask your Austrian buddies ;)

Well, if Romania plays in Basel or Bern ..even Zurich... something close in Switzerland I can just take the train from here and im there in a few hours. I dont know how much the ticket prices are..i might goto a group stage match as the cheapest are 45 euros.

Apparently the application process ended, so the only way you can actually go is to get super expensive tickets.

Sorry guys but Gabi is in Romania again. He was back for a week and I didn't know but he went right back again. When he gets home for a period of time longer than like 5 days I'll be able to ask him.

Anyone checked into rooms or anything?

Hey guys,

I'm planning on going and I've looked into the tickets a little bit.

FRF has 20% of the tickets to every game, according to their official site. And their official ticket supplier is http://www.biletefotbalonline.ro/

On the site it says you can start reserving your tickets before they come online( January 23 ), but if you click on any of their packages their "Rezerva bilete online" link doesn't work yet. I sent them an email asking whats up, I'll keep you posted. I have a feeling they won't activate that link until the 23rd of Jan.

If we're going, let's all go together. Let's reserve the tickets for all of us. Once we have the tickets, the rest should be easier to solve.

yea, my exams are till the 20th or so... so that would mean romania would have to make it pass the groups and quarters right? if i were to go, its way to hard to plan, but i was planning on going to europe this summer anyways for a week or two. is it possible to get a ticket for a semifinal match, or quarter not knowing the teams, but if your team gets disqualified you can get a refund??

Spoke with Gabi tonight briefly and he said that the FRF has 20% but all 20% will not be on sale. He said it will be closer to 15-17% as the FRF is holding some back for their discretion. He also said that the FRF has been getting swamped with interest and he wouldn't be suprised if the allotment sells out within the first few days.

Meaning get yours early.
