problem with xhaka as RM is he doesn't provide enough offensively. Also, I don't think DB is going to switch from 433, so we're stuck.

Gashi is a weird one, because he doesn't fit in 433, hes more of a second striker, and also he hasn't played at all lately for some reason.

Just hope De Biasi goes in knowing he can't get away with the same bs at Portugal. Have to change it up. Denmark is going to do their homework.
Very true. We were getting out possessed badly in the first half of that match and it's not something we can rely on. DB is trying to develop this team into a defensive, gritty squad and that's fine but we need to develop a counter attacking game that can take pressure of the backline and give them time to re-organize. Having pacey wingers that can dribble like Roshi and Rama may help and I think having Kace in the lineup will help as well.

You have to figure DB played with 4 FB's, 2 CB's and 2 DM's against Portugal...

I really don't know how skilled Xhaka is offensively but something tells me more technical than Roshi although Roshi blows him out when it comes to pace and dribbling(not even debatable)

But having Xhaka in the lineup can give more freedom to other players like Gashi and Kace.

Xhaka had a really nice goal the other game for his club.

This just has trap game written all over it. Too much focus was on Serbia. And most of all, I know for a fact De Biasi won't change anything. Whether you like to admit it or not, Portugal was a lucky 3 points. There was a lot more bad in that game than good. But Biasi won't think that. He probably thinks he's some ingenious coach that developed an unbreakable tactic (aka get fckin lucky).

The team has to cater to gashi. Put him in the same position he excelled in for years. Its a supporting striker role correct. Would u compare him to chicharito in his heyday at united. Pure poacher. Or as the english say. The fox in the box

Xhaka is often seen as a "warrior" type of player. I think Xhaka is better suited as CM. I don't think Kace provides enough offensively either, he's just a "tempo-keeper".

I would put Meha as RM and sub him out in second half.

De Biasi is not focusing at all on Serbia if you can read his interview. He spent 99% of the time talking about Denmark.

That is true de biasi has been pinpoint aet on denmark

It's always dangerous to lose focus and think about the emotional game, but these players are professionals. I can understand the fans getting excited but the players should be able to concentrate on this upcoming match.

It's actually probably a game that is more important than the one against Serbia (away) because there is hope for a solid result.

In Serbia there is nobody thinking about the game vs. Albania and actually there is very little enthusiasm but that could change as we approach the match.

Didn't Albania achieve solid results against Denmark?

That's because people in Serbia don't care about their NT and would rather watch other NTs like Croatia. :poke:

But seriously, I know you guys have low attendance/interest in your NT and that's pretty crazy considering the players you have.

apart from defence and matic, what do they have? all average players...

it's the attacking players that get all the hype. even markovic that seemed like a good prospect is flopping hard in an easy attacking system like liverpool.

against serbia the albanian players will be focused. im not worried about that....we just have to harness the energy and use it wisely....we cant come out gun ho and over commit thus resulting in a stupid mistake or a red card....focus..come out and put in a mourinho chelsea-esque performance....extremely disciplined defensively....smart....boring...and wait for a break and attack at will with those 3-4 great chances well be certain to get...all we have to do is convert one chance....IF we get a draw in belgrade that is a monumental point

as for denmark, same game plan....however i would like one more offensive player in ..... why not express ourselves and try to attack.....were at home in a new stadium lol...be confident...

my line up for denmark

berisha

hysaj cana mavraj agolli

abrashi kukeli xhaka

gashi balaj rama

i figure were doing a 4-3-3
i like this formation for the simple fact denmark has good midfielders....eriksen, kjaer(might be a doubt) khrone dehli (sp) are all real good midfielders..SO in this formation the tactic i want to employ is basically crowd the midfield....make their center mids have little space and be force to venture wide...this is a tactice wenger used this weekend against chelsea and it actually was great....granted arsenal lost but i mean tactically we were great....kukeli abrashi and xhaka do the dirty work...set up the offense, close down space harass their center mids while rama can exploit the space in behind and gashi can roam towards the middle and use his poacher instincts
i would like to play basha but with his club form i just dont know if he will be sharp and ready....kace i like too but again dont wanna sacrifice abrashi kukeli and xhakas work rate.....

against serbia im not definite on the lineup. i will have to say how we fare against denmark

My lineup for Denmark :

------------Balaj-------------
Rama-------------------Shala
--Abrashi----Kukeli---Xhaka----
Lenjani--Mavraj----Cana--Hysaj
--------------Berisha---------

Lenjani istead of Agolli. LB is also his position in St Gallen
Xhaka on the right to cover Meha.
Abrashi on the left to cover Rama.
Shala instead of Roshi. I think that playing a guy with the "viking" mentality can maybe help us for this game. Furtheremore, Shala is on form.

For Serbia, in order to "strenth" the midfield :
Kaçe for Shala (Kaçe as DM, and Xhaka as RW)

Though Im not religious I still believe in some karmaic forces out there that are beyond human comprehension. And those karmaic forces always punish mendjemadhet, and I feel that's what our team are turning into. just talk.

This is my lineup for Denmark (obviously different in Serbia)

------------Balaj-------------
Rama-------------------Meha
--Kace----Kukeli---Xhaka------
Agolli----Mavraj----Cana--Hysaj
--------------Berisha---------

Xhaka on the right to cover for Meha's defensive shortcomings. Meha and Kace on the field instead of anti-football players, since we're at home and going to be attacking a bit more. Agolli instead of Lenjani cause we need that left foot of his, more than we need Lenjani's dribbling.

For Serbia I'd throw out Rama for Lenjani for defensive stability, and Roshi if fit in place of Meha for speed to exploit Kolarov's space, and Abrashi for Kace, because of more defensive awareness and less **** ups.

P.S. If anyone makes formations, please say why you're putting those players there, I'd be interested to know, instead of making them without explanations.
My exact formation with just my adjustment of Lenjani in place of Agolli. He is plain and simple better in everything, pace, ball control, technique and defensively more solid. Maybe people here have already forgotten how Agolli was raped in Portugal and that he was by far the worst defender.
I also would put Vajushi in place of Rama. I like more Rama but the guy is sometimes too inconsistent. Vajushi is more concrete and as a whole very similar to Roshi so maybe Vajushi would pose a major threat than Rama.
I would not change anything else in that formation. Maybe just Çikalleshi in place of Balaj.

Forgot to point out that with Rrahmani called up in the place of Teli, we can finally assume that the amateur is once and for all out of this team.
So that leave us to say that the only complete amateurs without a minimum sense of what football is remained in this team are Bulku and Vila.

P.S. Another thing, the game against Portugal also puts to rest rumors that the federation prefers Albanians from the Republic. In fact against Portugal the titular formation was majority Kosovo Albanian.

Probably a few overrated players left and right, but overall most of them are above average players.

If you were to compare market values, the national team would be Top 10 in Europe I believe.

But indeed there is a lack of interest for the national team, which only sometimes gets revived as was the case under Radomir Antic.

The clubs get much more attention and the fans are amongst the top in the world, however the national team often gets empty stadiums and silent crowds (more women and children attending these matches too, as there is less potential for violence).

How is the pitch at Elbasan Arena for the match versus Denmark?
