Welcome to the River Plate forum.

As a result of the thread that was posted about this yesterday, based on the votes it would seem there is quite an interest, and judging from what's been said about it, the members feel it would benefit the Argentina forum as a whole. So, taking that into consideration, we've gone ahead with it's creation. Please keep in mind that this is still a trial, so if it is not active after a few months or so we may need to review the need for the subforum.

As this is a subforum it has the same FM's as the other forum, should there be need for an additional FM, be sure to let us know.

First thing that is required now is a forum description. :)

River x Sao Paulo

This wednesday at the Morumbi River will face Sao Paulo in what many believe should be the final.

I don't see why Astrada should make any changes from thos that played against Banfield last week, so our line up should look like this:

-------- Costanzo

------- Ameli -- Tuzzio
Diogo ------------- Dominguez

------- Mascherano
Gonzalez ---------- Zapata
-------- Gallardo

----- Farias ---- Salas

Who is currently your favourite player at River?

For me it is Franco Costanzo.

If it hadn't been for his injuries he would be the #1 for the national side now without a doubt.

Slowly becoming the keeper he looked like turning out to be when he first came onto the scene and will just get better and better.

Who is your all time favourite player from River?

Got to be Cavenaghi for me :)

A superb finisher who just started appearing from the bench soon after i had started following River Plate, his goalscoring, brilliant finishing with his hat-trick against Estudiantes and his superb volley at Huracan in the 6-0 win being particular favourites of mine.

Costanzo has recovered from his injuries and has been in very good form all season long in the Argentine league and in Copa Libertadores............he definitely deserves a callup to the national team.........i'm not sure why Pekerman prefers Lux over Costanzo.......
