I'm not happy with how Brasil has been playing, or with our coach's mediocrity. The first team to effectively neutralize Robinho will probably beat Brasil, as he's the single creative player on Dunga's first eleven. 
It's actually sad to see a guy who probably expected to do well as manager, like Dunga, crumble apart at the first hardship. Before the Copa America, Dunga spent all his training sessions with set-piece training, and Elano and Diego were the freekickers in most of the drills. After our first-round defeat to Mexico Dunga clearly felt the pressure, panicked, and began the gradual process of dropping Elano, Diego and all the pre-tournament plans and packing the midfield with DMs, in a desperate bid to avoid further defeats. And since Robinho managed to conjure at least one goal in all of our subsequent matches - and in the latest one the referee failed to give a penalty against us - so far Dunga's defensive gamble has worked, even if the majority of Brasilian fans hate the way the team is playing.
And our manager is being defensive not only in his tactics, but also during his press conferences. Dunga snaps at any reporter who suggests that his current tactical choices ignore everything that was done in the preparation period. He claims that a 3x0 score is "unquestionable", that his results "speak for themselves" and that the team is doing great, and he barks at anyone who disagrees with this rosy perspective. Dunga knows that his job is on the line, the players know it too, and I knew that he had caved under the pressure when he fielded a midfield with three DMs and strongman Julio Baptista as single "playmaker" to play Ecuador - a selection that demonstrated that our manager's fear of losing overwhelms everything else, including basic courage. That cowardly midfield selection convinced me that watching the Brasil x Ecuador game would be a waste of time, because that formation had NEVER been trained to play together before. Dunga is lost and now he can't go back to the system he had trained before; he already lost faith in that formation. Fred's injury also meant that Dunga couldn't change his mind about who the striker would be anymore, so he's stuck with Vagner Love too... and oh, how desperate the coach must be to see at least one goal from his chosen #9, a goal that might justify Vagner's selection as a starter and erase all the pale performances he has given so far. :rollani:
Hopefully Dunga will get sacked after the Copa America, and maybe then we can look forward to watching Brazil play again. Because Dunga's own decisions during this tournament have proven to me that he isn't qualified for the job.

I think Dunga still has time to turn this around. If he does a capello na dall of a sudden changes tactics to what it should be (Robinho, Diego, Anderson on from the start) then I still think Brasil could win this tourney

The way it works is that the top two teams in each group advance, and since there are three groups the two best third-placed teams in each group advance too to make eight in the quarterfinals.
