Gazzetta Dello Sprt just reported that Prandelli is our new coach.
Here's the link.
Source
His salary is 1,5 mil euros the first year, 1,75 the second, 2 mil. the third.
So now it looks like our management wasn't actually surprised by Capello's betrayal, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to act so quickly.
Anyway, this is great news, Prandelli is a great coach IMO, excellent in developing young players. Just what we need.
But I feel sorry for Parma in a way. Hope they find a good replacement too.

Prandelli was the coach of Parma, Twayka.
Good and fast move by Roma, we will see if Prandelli can do miracles with Roma too. Hopefully he will lose 3:0 to Lazio again next season.

A totally positive, if completely unexpected, turn of events! I'm shocked; there's no other way to say it. Gazzetta is indeed reporting it and I am indeed really happy.
I'm not even in the least bit upset about losing Capello, tho I hate him for how he stabbed us in the back w/ a knife. Way before this, I viewed Prandelli & Spalleti as the coaching revelations of the season. Think of what this man did with Parma after all the club went thru?! And with a bunch of youngsters, the situation we're likely to be facing this coming season. It's a great fit. Thank God they filled the vacuum soon, too.
This gives me a great shot of hope during desolate times. I'm really, really looking forward to a new outlook. What a roller coaster ride today was. It really was quite an emotional day. I must remember to refer back to "Thinking Positively."
Plus, as Demandred points out, we save big money on this deal! Capello made $4 or $5 mill a year; man, we get Prandelli for less than that for 3 years! Oh, it's wonderful!
Feeling Good w/ AS ROMA
:)

p.s. will Gila & Ferrari folo? :D

This really is a surprisingly quick appointment, I'm impressed! And a worthy replacement at that... the smile that was so cruelly wiped from my face upon the news of Capello's deceitful departure has returned :) Hopefully this news can restore some of the faith amongst our players and staff no doubt lost when Fabio dropped his bombshell. I reservedly admit, things are looking up!

Ok, seriously.. what's up with this :"Bring X X X players with you"? As far as I remember Parma players have a contract TO AC PARMA NOT Prandelli. Get it right damn it. They won't come for free.
I'm fully aware of that. Let me dream. And let me hope that Gilardino loves Prandelli so that if the choice is between Juve and Roma, he'll pick Roma.

No he is'nt he has'nt signed anythiny yet,and especially if Chevanton goes to Juve Gila won't be going there. The signing of Prandelli seems a very positive one for Roma and guys you know what that means a couple could be following him.Imagine an attack of totti,Cassano and Gilardino woah.
I do feel sorry for parma the team have come so far with Prandelli yet keep having that dagger shoved further and further into them.
