Simple answer: No, he's a fat lazy git who couldn't cut it out for NationWide football, he couldn't survive without being atleast 5 yards from his local
I have little sympathy for Gazza. He squandered his prestigious talent he possessed which few players are gifted with, he could have become a footballing legend if he was committed enough.
oh well you have no sympathy for a less than bright lad that had the full gaze on him from when he came back from the World Cup???
why? why no sympathy for the greatest English talent probably ever?
he came back from the World Cup,produced football that was a wonder to behold on these shores, grabbed a crap team to the Cup Final as siongle handedly as anything Maradona produced in the World Cup
then the weeks of articles, press sensationalism, building up of a legend, dodgy management by Terry Venables letting him do whatever, and then WHAAM,he goes off his rocker in the Final
this was basically the end of without doubt the most naturally skilful football that has graced these shores for the last thirty years. :depress:
who do you blame?
OK he was a daft bastard, but isn't that a lot of why we loved him?
his management? Terry Venables was an utter disgrace in the way he handled Gazza!!!
the British Media!!!????
build 'em up,knock 'em down, probably the worst vitriol for any living man was shown to Gazza, for a real fragile character the abuse aimed at Gazza in his time of need was disgraceful...
I hope we never get a genius like Gazza ever again, because we simply don't deserve such a lighthouse of a footballer.
